APM tries fancy under drawers. Need y'all's help. New to this.

As those of you who pay attention to APM's travails will no doubt remember, APM is a tighty-whitey traditionalist when it comes to under drawers. He does not believe in spending real money on an article of clothing that will literally get sh*tty and peed upon and maybe get some baby batter on it.
That said, my oldest, nicest fitting tighty whiteys have finally given way and I don't like the newest versions of briefs that are available from Hanes & FOTL.
So APM said, what the heck, let's try the new stuff. First up were some Jackey boxer briefs. Fine, but kinda too warm and snug. Next were some Krakatoa trunks. I like these better, but don't like the horizontal fly.
I know y'all have discussed this before, but can you recommend for APM some 21st century under drawers that:
1) have the traditional vertical fly
2) are trunk or briefs style
3) are reasonably affordable

get the long leg briefs. I have like 8 pairs of these and I love them. They are pricey af but well worth every penny spent.
