Anyone saying fans expect undefeated seasons

Is textbook gaslighting and diversion to boot. The issue has almost nothing to do with wins or losses. I would much rather have 1 loss to a very good team as long as we dominate who we are supposed to. This domination of weaker opponents hasn't happened since 2020. Most wins have been nail biters since. This is due to about 10 reasons but saying fans expect no losses is 3rd grade argumentation. This includes anyone named Dabo.

Like watching the Tigers struggle to score on Wake and lowly VT hangs 31 on them last week.

Death Valley boo-ed for more than the late hit on the QB

Sammy Brown even left the stadium after the boo-s carried on for a long time.
I looked at him and saying let's go Sammy! He rolled his eyes and walked to the recruit room near the old lockerroom exit.

but the absence of Jeff Scott (Pass game shredding) and Toney Elliot (run game and strong offensive formations) and Brent Venables (the one that elevated everyone)
and the follow up plan ... they just don't add up. but Dabo is a miracle worker. let's see what happens

Wait. Is he
A) a miracle worker B) the product of three specific assistants C) on the edge of a mental breakdown per you astute observations.
C can go with either. But hiring good assistant isn’t exactly a miracle. Hiring a coach 1 year removed from high school coaching and having him vault your program to national prominence might qualify but you left that name out. Or how he hired a demoted DC from a conference maligned for its terrible defense. But that might show Dabo has better instincts for his hires than the folks here want to acknowledge. Both other coaches fall under that nepotism angle you love to push. Feel free to go back to the “why I’m mad at coach” drawing board.

Most of them can’t. It is apparent if you read this board during games, Clemson or otherwise, that people either watch very little football or have incredibly short memories. The lack of football iq is astounding for people ostensibly here because they love football.

realistic question

Have you really seen anyone, let alone masses of fans, calling for undefeated seasons?
I have not. Just wondering.

I have not even seen that from Alabama fans. It's an absurd concept in any sport. Dabo is fighting off imaginary foes.

does not = expected to go undefeated. If he expects fans to not react at all to a loss then he is delusional.

Nobody expects to win every game. I predicted 14-1. I thought Riley would be the answer and our defense would be good enough to keep us close even if we struggled. I was half right.

So, if there wasn't a loss to Duke this season, all would be well?

If we had lost to Duke due to the many crazy mistakes

and then went on to improve from there and beat FSU and put Wake away and show that our offensive can be explosive again, sure all would be well....not great but well....
Instead, not only did we lose to Duke due to those crazy mistakes, we've gone on to continue to have a fundamentals nightmare against every single team we've played, lose to FSU because of it and play one of the worst games we've played since 2010 against Wake Forest while still being one of the worst teams in the entire country in explosive plays....so no things are far from well...

Pretty funny. The bushes at the end must be those stupid metal poles in the middle of a walk that Dabo said he almost ran into. Terrible placement of 4 metal poles on a Tiger Walk.

Quite often, a winning season requires

an undefeated run somewhere along the way. If winning all but one leads to the CFP, great. Two usually is too many.
But now that Dabo's redefined "winning" for everyone, it feels like two or three losses is okay if it creates a more resilient 98.5%. We don't want to get spoiled and expect a CFP every year, which subsumes the idea of going undefeated or nearly so.
That would just be nuts.
