Anyone nearby want to come to my house and break two bolts

and clean a diesel fuel tank for me? Tractor is not running. Tried to remove tank on Sunday, but there are two bolts left in a hard to reach place. I can get on them, but I really need a 1/2" extension. Also, I am too busy.
Is there a better method that doesn't require tank removal? Previous attempt to spray in tank with hose did not work. Algae still in tank.

For future, keep biocide in tank and keep tank full?

You need to get rid of the water in the tank, too. Algae needs the water to live.

Before I changed a tank I'd drain it as well as possible and refill it with fresh diesel. I'd drain the lines too. I know it's a pita but that contaminated fuel needs to go first, all of it.
Stop by a marine place (boats not warriors) and pick up a bottle of Star Tron. A couple weeks after I saw the black grit in my primary filter I got a bottle and poured it in the next time I filled the tank. It works. I'm not a snake oil guy. If I have an issue with oil or water leaking I fix it with a sweat, a wrench and busted knuckles. Imo there is no easy way out.
The star tron is the exception. I considered pulling the tank and clearing the lines but those critters have a way of hiding in an injector pump and return lines. Btw, I know they aren't animal.

I think I paid $250 last time for a mechanic to fix this issue and guess what.....They didn't fix it. I didn't know the problem was algae in the tank tho.
Alright, so I will buy the Star Tron or the IE recommended stuff and put it in there. I really wanted to remove the tank so I could turn it upside down and spray it realllll good. But if this stuff kills it / breaks it up and the tractor runs...That's all I want.

Why not get a $3 hand siphon pump, get out the all the fuel (dump it on some ant beds or somethin') then refuel with good fuel and add the anti algae medicine?
It'll probably run a lot better.
