Feel like Beer is struggling this year? Seems like he is trying to over swing. I know he has won us some huge games this year, and with him getting walked all the time I would think it would be aggressive as a hitter. What are your guys opinions?

Beer will not

Get a Lot of good pitches to hit this year. Opponents know his potential and he will hit the mistake pitches and get a lot of walks. IF the Tigers had another power hitter to bat behind Beer it would be another story. Alas, they don't . I'm still glad he is wearing the orange '

put it perfectly! Everyone knows who Seth Beer is this year and they'll play him appropriately. His numbers are good and his play has been great. His stats last year were out of this world and nearly impossible to duplicate. And that's okay, we don't need him to replicate them. We just need Seth to keep being Seth. He affects teams just by being in the line-up. If someone else's bat would show some serious, consistent pop, then Beer's fortunes would likely change. There are a couple guys with that potential on this team that it just hasn't come to fruition for. Still early though and we have a good team. All is well.

Not me - but it seems that a lot of pitchers throw a strike to Beer on the first pitch, and breaking ball inside seems to sneak past Beer, but that's all I've seen. EVERYONE knows how good Beer is this year, so there's that.

He won't see a lot of intended strikes and fastballs . They know where to pitch this kid , and how much a walk doesn't hurt them most times with Seth Beer.
Hopefully our other players pick it up and he becomes more a part of the game, but for now it's looking like he will be pitched around in favor of someone else.
