Class of ‘71. Went through “rat season” and glad I did.


They noticeably did NOT seem to replay all angles of that hit

…primarily due to the fact that the more you look at it, the more it did appear to be targeting, IMHO.

However, this type of play is CHARACTERISTICALLY Dave Doeren’s team style of play, that is ‘take a cheap shot whenever you can, don’t worry about the penalty.”

I know many will say that I’m going too far with Doeren, but this type of play comes up over and over with NC State.

If the player was not trying to cheap shot Shipley, as Shipley’s butt was about 6” from hitting the turf, why did the player feel compelled to launch another hit at him? Huh?? Well?

The hit Wayne Gallman comes to mind. Again a no call. Again the player was lost for the game.

Because he was playing with effort and trying to prevent a touchdown. Football can be complicated to understand sonetimes.
