Any gut feelings on the FSU game time???

My wife just told me that she RSVP'd us to a wedding on October 19th at 5PM. Needless to say the tone and wording of my initial response wasn't what she wanted to hear. I will be watching the FSU game regardless of the game time, but it would be nice to be able to not be in the doghouse afterwards.
I think that I may be in the clear because this should be a night game assuming we both take care of business betwenn then and now. If it happens to be a 3:30 game, i may be headed for marriage counseling.

Darn...seeing that UCLA-Stanford matchup makes me think that'll be Gameday. Even though we'll be the higher ranked matchup (assuming we both keep winning), it'll be one of the few opportunities that they have for a marquee West Coast matchup.
...Though, at the same time, they'll have a chance for the undefeated matchup of Oregon-Stanford or Oregon-UCLA. That's actually a really impressive 3 week lineup. In back-to-back-to-back weeks they have UCLA-Stanford, UCLA-Oregon, and then Oregon-Stanford.

###?! That seems like such a strange thing to do. That puts Oregon in a horrible situation too since they're playing the two best opponents in their conference in a span of 5 days.

Sorry, football comes before weddings. Those that schedule weddings during football season should think about those things. That's what June and July are for.

For sure. If it's a close friend's wedding then you have to suck it up and go...but if this is for an acquantaince, then it's football.

haha true...I was actually in a wedding back in the USA two weeks ago, so I was wicked bummed I was going to miss the Bama-A&M game. Got to the wedding, walked to the bar, looked up: TV with the game on. I was saved haha

am going to avoid being in any more. If you aren't in the thing, you don't really get to spend much time with your friend/retaliative. You also realize how many inside jokes you got left out on along the way.

I would also accept a Sunday wedding in Clemson on a home game weekend, with the "rehearsal diner" held at the groom's family's tailgate prior to the game on Saturday.

I'm pretty sure ABC/ESPN has to make their primetime Pac12 and Big Ten selections before the season begins, and there are no such games scheduled for the 8PM ABC game on Oct 19th.
I think the only realistic candidates remaining would be FSU @ Clemson or LSU @ Ole Miss, and there's a pretty good chance that both ACC teams will be undefeated going into that one while LSU would need to beat UGA and Florida, and Ole Miss has Bama, Auburn, and A&M prior to that game.

So who knows until they announce it really... you'd assume a night game, but supposedly TDP had told ESPN that we don't want very many night games back in the day. Then again, we have a new athletic director now..
