Obviously we want our best players to play, but does anyone else hope the sit out this week too? We have the bye week after Wake. I assume we can still beat them without those 2 playing.
It would be awesome to be sitting at 4-2 going into the bye week and allowing 2 of our best players an additional week to heal up for the 2nd half of the season. We'll need them since the schedule get significantly more difficult.

I can't see either of them playing against Wake, save them for tougher games.

This should be a good weak for us to establish the running game again anyways. Offensive line should dominate Wake's DL.

Let them get healthy. Beat Wake to a pulp. Bring them back after the break and run the table.

That's what I'm thinking as well. We will be in a good spot at 4-2 heading into the bye week. Especially if the offense puts together another good game against Wake.

I might even use Ship more sparingly ( if at all ). It seems to me that he isn't running as aggressively now as he was at the first of the season. I would think Mafah and Thomas could handle the load and it would be nice to get a look at Adams and Jarvis Green. It gets tougher after this week like you said and Wake is really struggling this year.

because having a fresh Mafah is arguably more important than having a fresh Shipley for the tough stretch coming up.

Mafah doesn't appear worn. He looks fresh. That's nonsensical. I would prefer both of my 2 best backs be fresh and ready for the stretch,.

to our team than Shipley when playing bigger, stronger teams.
Of course we want both healthy, and I wasn't suggesting otherwise.

Absolutely no reason to rush either of them back for a below-avg. Wake team. Keep them healthy because we have a very tough stretch of games after the bye week.
