I believe Moonpie loved Clemson football - She was a "First Lady of Clemson" - She and Dr. Edwards were the best!!!!

They were great Tiger supporters!!!:)

Moonpie for sure. In that era we had RC Edwards, Walter Cox, Frank Howard & Bob Bradley. Clemson is always represented by first class people, but this group was the best of the best. I was lucky to know them. They were all as Clemson as Clemson can get.

How quickly we forget
Edwards wanted to pave over Bowman for a parking lot
Student and alumni protests stopped the effort
And I doubt many of you remember SOAP. - Save our Ampitheater People
Another Edwards initiative to dramatically change that area
And so many other issues during that era
I suppose the past is always the good ole days
But that time was not

I couldn't agree with you more. DR. And Mrs Edwards treated the student as their own children back in the day. Speaking of Dean Cox, I had the pleasure of working for Him while I was in school and he was a total class act, kind and caring. He was a dean the students could really relate to and his door was always open! He loved his Tigers as well!!!
