Report: DE Shaq Lawson, Two Other Clemson Stars Will Declare For NFL Draft

Clemson is undefeated and ranked first in the country. The Tigers are in the midst of a dream season, but a report out of the Palmetto State tonight indicates that three of the team’s best defensive players are likely headed to the NFL after this season.

The names aren’t surprising: defensive end Shaq Lawson, safety Jayron Kearse and cornerback Mackensie Alexander.

Skai Moore is a big loss for Clemson’s top rival as well. The Clemson-South Carolina game in 2016 may be missing some familiar faces.

Lawson was ready last year and Mack was too. Kearse needs 1 more year. I also don't know if this is reliable Intel outside of the fact that they are clearly NFL talents that have received 1 rnd praise in mock drafts.

And this is why I am a big believer that they need to let Alexander rest and sit out the Wake game. Wake Forest defense is pretty good but they're offense, not so much. Let Baker play and get the song first team reps no matter who it's against. As I said earlier this week it will definitely pay dividends down the road. I think he has a good upside and will play a lot next year.
