Booger Mcfarland on Mike and Mile
Dec 8, 2016, 9:19 AM

just said Lamar Jackson was a lock for the Heisman. Mike and Mike both agreed. I am not saying he isn't deserving, but the fact that he is supposedly such a lock seems off to me. Oh well. Maybe that will have Deshaun playing with a touch of chip on his shoulder. Although, he won every other award.

Just like 4 weeks ago, he had 100% of the first place votes. That's never happened before. He's not had a great November, and DW has played great, but he will win the Heisman. Unfortunately.

Lamar is a lock solely for hurdling a Syracuse defender.

Yes, it would be nice to have a Heisman in the Clemson trophy case. But, a National Championship is better. The Heisman is nothing more than a popularity contest. It definitely does not guarantee future success.

My prediction

Jackson wins the Heisman (they pretty much gave it to him back in Sep - thanks to those powerhouse wins over Charlotte, Syracuse and Marshall - and FSU forgetting to show up that day) and then they lose the bowl game for 3 straight losses. And that after barely getting by Duke and UVa.
Normally I pull for our opponents (except SC!) during the season so our conference and our strength of schedule look good. But just can't bring myself to pull for Louisville. Not happening.

The Heisman most years is a joke starting in 1956. Lets take a look at the number!

*Paul Hornung. Please! Won only because he was a ND QB. 13 Int. If he won then DW4 is a lock! **Jim Brown finished 5th behind a OL. ***The Heisman is a Total JOKE!

Yeah those stats against Houston and Kentucky are real Heisman-like. SMH.

Just like Booger said there was nothing Orgeron could do to keep the job at LSU... or in week one when he said that our line was so soft, Auburn would wipe the floor with us.
He's about as wrong as they come.

Look at the voting for the All ACC... Lamar received more

than double the votes of Deshaun... it is not far-fetched to think that he will win this trophy. In fact, it would be better to assume that he did win it and then we can be pleasantly surprised if Deshaun wins.
I love Deshaun and his leadership, but I think his September and October ints may keep him from the trophy. 15 picks is high.
