Call me a coot or whatever. I don’t care.
But I honestly hope we get left out of the NCAA tournament.
That jackasss Brownell has been going around for the last 2-3 weeks saying we’re a “lock” for the tournament.
What an idiot.
I didn’t see it then. And I definitely don’t see it now.
If they didn’t choose us last year, who’s to say they have to choose us this year?

When you were already questionable, and then you just don’t even show up for your conference tournament…
You do NOT deserve it. You deserve to be sad Sunday evening.
And it is beyond time for Clemson to give someone else a shot at this. Anyone!

I am a diehard tiger like yourself and I totally agree. That’s how I feel. They didn’t even show up to play last night. And they got the team I thought was the better matchup to play as opposed to Miami. I like Brownell, but I think this is his ceiling. We are playing in a tough league and it’s tough to recruit against Duke/unc and others. That’s why I wonder who we could bring in if we did part ways and if they could really do a ton better. What’s everyone’s thought on that?

They are going to the tournament because the same NET that brad has been complaining about the last few weeks is propping them up because of some early season wins in the OOC. They are 10-10 in their last 20 games. The ACC is a 3-4 bid league this year. This was his "best team ever" and once again floundered down the stretch.

As difficult as it was to watch that debacle…
The team has done enough (according to the system) to get in and have the opportunity.
It’s the same system that left last year’s team out that is benefiting this year’s team.
The system, for better or worse, gives weight to non-conference games, road wins, etc…and this team did that.
I do think a coaching change is needed…but I also am pulling for Clemson in its first NCAA bid in a while.

...can never and will never pull against Clemson. Having said all that...if we do lose the first round of NCAAs and Brad gets fired, then there's a huge silver lining.

somehow, Brownell would find a way to P!SS AWAY what should have been a great season. So much talent on this ship this year, and no captain to steer it, not even a rudder. It truly is a travesty that Clemson allows this to continue, year, after year, after year.
Even if we somehow make the NCAA now, if we go one and done, in an embarrassing fashion like last night, Brownell should be gone. Too many up and coming coaches out there, several in our own CONFERENCE, for Clemson to continue to keep settling for this hogwash going forward.

Football teams play postseason mediocre bowls all the time with interim coaches. Basketball should be no different with under achieving lower seeded teams.
