it's hard to wish such an experience on others, even those I may disagree with on the topic of theology, social mores, politics, macroeconomics, gender identity, feminism, Marxism, pantheism, minimalism, socialism, Taoism, capitalism, communism, and Tom Brady.
Scriptures declare the Lord raises up nations and brings them down again; I reckon the same is true of huge, culture-shaping media conglomerates like ESPN.

The article is very misleading. ESPN is under contract with sports groups. Unless ESPN goes bankrupt, they have to pay those teams. If ESPN sells to someone else, the contracts are still valid and the new owner has to honor them. So, while ESPN may sell out to someone else, those contracts are still valid. ESPN and regular cable and satellite tv is going to be replaced by streaming services in the future. Lots of competition on the horizon. Espn itself is going to streaming in the near future.

I don't know anybody elses feeling about ESECPN, but I would love seeing them on their back with all 4 legs up and die for the dirty dogs they truly are. I'm not all about the conference thing as a lot of people are, so I wouldn't ever be seen cheering ACC ACC even tho that is the conference that my be loved Clemson Tigers are in, but, I feel that ESECPN new exactly what they were bc they had planned before hand of screwing the ACC with the GOR's deal they made with the ACC and knowing they about to make the SEC the one of their highest paid conferences with their GORs deal to give the SEC the banking to finally bury the ACC in all sports with hopes of completely destroying the ACC with the GOR deal they practically forced on the ACC to have the ACC network that actually sucks!!!

I was thinking it is all of that about ESECPN maneuvering which makes me believe the GOR is fraudulent and/or null in some way. It seems to intentionally drive all ACC schools down.
I’m no lawyer but it seems like the ACC should have an out? Why would that happen?

Don't think the GOR is a fraud...ESPN & FSU are crooks in the first degree...when you sue the conference you are also dissing everyone else in the conference...FSU is trying to dragsomeone else in with them...but as of yet no takers...FSU should have left a nasty taste in everyone else's mouth...they are better off out...but the money benefits should be refunded...if ESPPN planned this to keep the ACC down it will all come out!

so can't follow you down that road. I think the SEC bias many perceive is more about ESPN seeking ratings than just wanting to see SEC teams win, or hatching some deep state plan to scuttle the ACC.
The reality is SEC football draws more eyeballs than all the others. And TV people like eyeballs.
And while I haven't loved a lot of ESPN's programming decisions over the last decade, I do know if ESPN fails, a lot of good people will lose jobs.
Producers, photos, journos, field teams, accountants, HR reps, marketers, etc. don't get to call the shots but they do get to collect the pink slips when the boneheads at the top stop thinking like TV people and start thinking like politicians.

You say the article is misleading, then go on to explain how ESPN will soon be replaced by streaming and may even be unable to pay its obligations down the line -- and both are valid points -- and they support the article's premise.
The point is that Netflix has stepped into streaming live sports and is now the 900 pound gorilla in the room, and I bet P5 czars mouths' are watering at the thought of what Netflix might pay to stream their sports, especially football.

ESPN can be, and is, streamed. Stream vs cable likely won't alter the conference collectives seeking bundled contracts.
