An attempt to humiliate the #1 team?

ESPNCL is replaying the WVA game today! Wouldn't the Oklahoma game be more appropriate since we are paired against them again? Why chose that game to replay?!

Well we are the ones who made ourselves subject to it, so we can't really whine. We've come a long way since that night

I hope the continuing bombardment of disrespect we've been shown lights a fire under these guys that can't be put out by anybody. Even then, I expect next season to be much the same.

I don't feel humiliated . Where is West Virginia now , and where are we ? The changes that took place as a result of that Orange Bowl were program changing on the defensive side . Our team benefits to this day from that terrible night in Miami .

the 77 Gator Bowl, the 92 Citrus Bowl, the 96 Gator Bowl, or the 2002 Tangerine Bowl.
They all have about as much bearing on the upcoming game against Oklahoma as the 2012 Orange Bowl.

I was at that 2002 Tang Bowl game and would like to erase that night from my memory. Poor old Chuck got beat up pretty bad.

Honestly that game made Clemson who they are today

Without that game we don't have chip on the shoulder, we don't have Venables, and we don't have an idea of how to treat a BCS style game. After that I think this coach understood that the current style at the time needed to change. Then cones a new offensive and defensive coordinator which changed our whole future. Let's play them today.

I don't think Dana Holgerson (sp) wants any of us. I'll bet Dabo would love to schedule them again, though, and so would I.

We had a lot of great changes that occurred after that one. Interesting how recruiting didn't seem to be negatively effected after that game. In fact, we really took off after it.

Truly a watershed moment in the history of the program...

That was the rock-bottom game that ultimately led us to where we are now. Lit a fire under us, and as a result we just do not lose to inferior competition any more. In fact, we've lost 7 games in the last 4 years, ALL to teams ranked in the final Top 10. So now, if a team is Top 10 caliber they MIGHT beat us, but if they are not top 10, they have ZERO chance of beating us.
