The SEC is discussing major fines/penalties for

storming the field. Penalties could include doubling fines, forfeit of home games in the next season, to even bowl bans.
The Meeting at the Paw would be in major jeopardy with a move to the SEC.

I agree that it could be an issue. Maybe that's why it's important to always call it "Meeting at the Paw" and never call it "storming the field".

Since it would infringe on a current member’s gay cheers such as “go côcks”. Worth it.

If Clemson joins the ACC maybe they can go back and fine the coot fans for storming the field at Death Valley last year after the gift victory to them.

drive a tack into a wall...kind of making a mountain out of a molehill.
The SEC already fines a school for the "storming," as they call it; thus, it rarely happens. That ought to be enough management of the issue. Hence, to me the proposed rules are an overreach, especially if they want to take away home games or declare forfeits.

Unpopular opinion here. The gathering at the paw is part of our tradition, but people are just getting out of wack nowadays. They do the best with security and checking at the entrance, but people are smart and chances are security will not be perfect 100% of the time. Especially with recent deadly instances at concerts and other gatherings of people. This is why the SEC implemented the rule.
Besides, SEC teams still do it. Tennessee against Alabama this last year, even carried the goal post out of the stadium. They just paid the fine. It will still happen, but only when there’s an enormous win. It’s better honestly, it’d be more coveted.

If Mississippi State is allowed to use there cowbells. Then se should be allowed to storm the field if we are in the SEC.

but the league most certainly grants exceptions (e.g., Mississippi State).
I won't even get into their rule governing the over-signing of football recruits (lowering the number of signees to 25, down from 28) that is completely ignored by pretty much everyone.

Compete on an equal level or storm the field--what's most important?

Let the revenue disparity go on long enough and we won't have anything to "storm the field" about. We will be back to the days when beating UNC was a big deal.

Well, by all means let’s allow going on the field after a game take precedence over joining a football league like the SEC. Good grief.
