After sleeping on this game and allowing my emotions to calm

I still believe there must be a house cleaning of assistant coaches at Clemson. It is not fair to the players who come to Clemson and give their heart to this program to have the opportunity to play in the CFP robbed from them by terrible coaching. These young men deserve better and Graham Neff needs to make this clear to Dabo. Two years of underperforming and sloppy play must come to an end, at any price. I love Dabo, but he must be willing to make changes in his staff or Neff must make the toughest decision of his young career. And it’s also time to clean house in men’s basketball. Mr Neff time to grow a steel set, you are their boss.

Some of our expectations are fueled by Coach Swinney. Recruiting-seems like according to him everyone is going to do great things. Preseason same kind of talk. Our defensive line not best in country - heard that from coaches all pre and into season. Maybe let’s tone some of that down. Don’t single out and promote these guys.

I think the problems go MUCH deeper than the QB position but that is one of many changes that needs to be made.

A great coach can take a average team and win. I had someone last week sat there's no way they can best us. I knew better but in once since he is correct. The team with the most talent should always win the game.

BOOM!!!! Perfect analysis. "Dabo Speak" can be a great motivator when you are a fledgling program on the way up. However, when you are at, or near, the pinnacle of success, to have your boss continually tell you how great you are when your performance does not show it, is a HUGE obstacle to overcome. Being positive is a good thing. Being "Honest" is a better thing! We need a big dose of honesty and detailed reflection from Dabo. He is one smart dude and I foresee this happening soon.

Yeah its becoming more and more difficult to get excited about recruits who will never live up to their ranking due to our amateur hour coaching staff.

Great analysis. Dabo will either figure out that he has to

adjust to the current landscape to remain competitive or he will fall on his own sword. Clemson has provided extended grace because he has resurrected a once stale program and brought two National Championships back to Tiger Town. Now that we know it can be accomplished, the expectations for the program remain high. You can’t regress as a program and expect fans to accept it. If Best is truly the Standard, then take us back to the Standard.

So Graham Neff who doesn't have the guts to get rid of our 13 year failure of a BB coach is going to give Dabo an ultimatum and start picking he assistant coaches after a 10-2 season? That's ridiculous.
Dabo knows a lot more about what needs to change and will make the changes he needs to make. He didn't hesitate to can Spence and Koenning when he took the job or to replace Steele and Napier, who he was personally close to, after the Orange Bowl in 2012.
I suspect he'll bring Scott back as OC (if Jeff will come back), and bring in a new QB coach and WR coach. The new coaches need to be stud recruiters, who along with Jeff, will improve that area that has fallen off recently.

Good post Magic. I hope you’re right on Dabo making changes. I’m concerned that those examples of changes you mentioned were a decade ago. I’m having a hard time seeing examples of him making big changes in recent history, save for benching KB for TL, which was the biggest no-brainer move. I really hope Dabo surprises us with some changes to coaching, scheme but I’m bracing for more of the same approach and hopeful a new QB can help us lower the floor and ceiling for our offense.

We must get more aggressive in the transfer portal. Their players that transferred in from schools made the difference in the game...if we don't the slide will continue!
