In a team sport it is never one individual being the fault of all. And the majority of Clemson fans in my opinion do not proclaim everything is from DJ error. We see the 4-6 balls dropped per game, we see offensive lineman make a penalty or missed block, we see the turnovers too. I also believe coaches and Dabo himself have jumped in the faces of players, have mentioned specific players like Miles Murphy in press conferences, he would be on the sidelines yelling at Trevor or Watson or get them after an INT and would be visibly upset with them. Players that dropped balls or got penalties were pulled out of the next plays. Cade came into a game we were not doing well in, was placed in a bad situation, threw one pic on one pass play he was allowed and never returned to the game.
What is the impact on team and other players, when they also see like many are stating here, for some reason there is no accountability for DJ? Why are they so careful on sidelines in games, interviews afterwards or all week that DJ can never be yelled at, he can never be responsible for our offense as a major contributor to it, that reporters cannot question if another QB was considered when the current one barely completed 1/3 of passes? I do not see how we can talk on and on about the player that missed one assignment or the player that dropped one ball, or talk about a player that made one bad penalty but any accountability of DJ's inaccuracy, consistent poor decisions is off limits? Why has trying and utilizing another 5 star QB never seem to be in the realm of any true consideration this year? I really caution the future if we do not become a future-focused team in the next two games.
