(Assuming the GOR is not going to be broken)

With the ACC going to 17 schools next season, the football needs to break into two divisions.

The top 8 schools and bottom 9 schools.

At the end of every season, the last place team from the top division is relegated to the lower division. While the top team from the lower division is promoted to the top division.


70% of the revenue is distributed to the top division.

It’s time to have some guts and let the chips fall where they may. I would sue right behind FSU too. Now I know this is very unlikely to happen b/c the $$ drive here is too great. Too many stakeholders involved. But it needs to be a viable threat to shake things loose!

My understanding is FSU is making their move now because they have a secret offer to join the B1G secured. We are waiting for similar offer from whichever power 2 as well BEFORE we announce our lawsuit intentions.

The football layout will be blown up within three years. The ACC GOR may not even be renewed by ESPN on the upcoming option date. This entire thing is a moving target right now. I give FSU credit for filing the lawsuit but, I honestly believe the tiered football setup will be here soon. The powerful football programs will not even reside within a conference. Think of it as NFL lite.
