The ACC will *ALWAYS* be second fiddle, as long as they're connected to ESPN.

Agree with everything they said, and have already said much of what was said.

Argument should have been between Bama and Texas. FSU in at 3. Never been a FSU fan but I feel like they got hosed.

Some points..They are so obviously picking the wrong points for FSU also

EJ is sitting there acting like Florida and Louisville are actual good teams. Those are 2 teams that Clemson would certainly beat. EJ claims, “It is hard as #### to win.”. Then don’t try to downplay difficulty of winning against better rosters in the SEC and overall when referring to Alabama’s struggles.

Eric just sitting there using his ACC tinted glasses. Claiming these players for FSU had the opportunity “snatched away”. Yeah guess what? If FSU got in, Alabama would’ve had it snatched away after beating the back to back national champ who hasn’t lost in 30 games, while also winning SEC Championship. Their players would’ve felt the exact same.

Don’t be biased, it’s not a good look. The ACC is already known as the dumbest power 5 besides PAC-12. Don’t make it look worse by projecting your anger and reshaping the actual truth.

Actual truth is the best teams should have the chance to win it all.

The BCS model was built to make the best 2 teams play each other. That’s the point anyway you put it, the best teams.

When Clemson ran through the ACC, the strength of the conference didn’t mean anything. Because we dominated everybody by 50 and proved we could win in the playoff.

FSU has done neither of those things in this era. Alabama has. Alabama has the best coach of all time, FSU has a new coach with no experience. Alabama has a QB that just ran all over Georgia. FSU has a 2nd string QB that barely beat Florida.

Alabama deserves a shot because they are one of best teams regardless of rankings. That is how it should be, and that’s how it is designed to be.

All of the criteria aim at the goal of getting in the most deserving teams, and the most deserving teams are the best teams.

I’m tired of the bias by these guys. Just be real as an expert analyst.

and your fellow FSU grad commentator but the CFP Committee did follow the "College Football Playoff Selection Committee Protocol" established back in 2012. They used the exact same process from which every CFP Committee has followed for the 4 team CFP era.

It's OK to not like the decision made by the CFP but no one can rightfully say they acted contrary to their protocols or PRINCIPLES of which they are listed here:

"The selection committee will select the teams using a process that distinguishes among otherwise comparable teams by considering:

- Conference championships won,
- Strength of schedule,
- Head‐to‐head competition,
- Comparative outcomes of common opponents (without incenting margin of victory), and,
- Other relevant factors such as unavailability of key players and coaches that may have affected a team’s performance during the season or likely will affect its postseason performance."

See that last bullet - that is what ultimately kicked FSU in the buttocks. Reasonable people can agree or disagree as to whether that last Principle bullet should have weighed as heavily against FSU as it did but the CFP Committee did not just pull their decision out of thin air to satisfy some "SEC/Big10" conspiracy or preferred Vegas matchup BS. The Committee followed the same process that has been in use for the life of the 4 team CFP and came up with a result that some people just don't like. Fine... hardly a single CFP Committee final 4 has ever been met without some faction being unhappy but the fact is this "Other relevant factors" bullet has been in the CFP Committees decision matrix for a long time and was a deciding factor this year.

That should be used to break ties. Bama lost a game, FSU didn't. If they had the same record, then that criteria would make sense. Now they are projecting what the outcomes will be without letting it play out on the field. Who's to say FSU's defense doesn't shut down Michigan, who gained fewer yards than FSU against #16 Iowa, but scores enough to win with the 2nd string QB (not the 3rd)?

Sometimes the road to the truth is so elusive it's confusing and reality becomes illusion.
