Tiger Nation, we just dodged an asteroid headed straight for Death Valley. Had Dabo chosen to leave, it would have nuked our program back to the Bowden Era of Football. Can you imagine how many players would have transferred, and how many 6-6 seasons Clemson would have had to endure before finding the right fit again? I mean, let's be honest, we scored with Dabo. A man who was not even a coordinator prior to assuming the lead man at Clemson. At the time, many Clemson fans bemoaned his hire and cursed Howard's Rock whenever he donned that orange blazer during his presser for his hire in 2008. Just imagine where we were and where we are now. Coach Swinney has taken us a long way from the Valley of Dry Bones and added tons of metal to our trophy case. Even if we never win another national championship under his coaching tenure, it would be difficult to say that he isn't the best Clemson football coach in History.

On that note, thank you Coach Swinney and Kathleen for deciding to remain part of the Clemson family. It means more than you'll ever know.

I’m so grateful for all he’s done and will always support him. Some people just don’t understand how far we have come. I’m old I was there. I remember!
