A Lesson for Patience

Jun 29, 2013, 12:02 AM

When the story of the outrage at the top of the Hill broke, I posted a warning to be careful about jumping to conclusions. I warned that the stats and circumstances surrounding this crime did not indicate normal rival vandalism. This was in response to the call for "Protect the Rock" to be our cry for next season. I suggested that was way premature and we could end up looking foolish. In response, I was called an NCIS wantabe, sticking my head in the sand and mostly a coot.

Now the coots are crowing about one of our fans perpetrating the deed. I suggest to them that they should also not jump to conclusions. Who knows how this will turn? Either way, we should not post threats of violence against a young man who has lost his way. There is no doubt that he will pay a very high price; without Tiger Fan physical retribution.

He may yet be proven to be a coot, but at the very least he is a very mentally challenged individual with extremely poor judgement, so he certainly could be a coot. Regardless of his fan status, I am sad he acted in such a selfish way. There really could be no real gain from it for anybody in the long run.
