Lots of places doing that, Washington has one on I-90 ...

... in Cascades.

I think Utah has started doing it too.

Colorado has a few spots with wildlife crossing areas

Dec 19, 2022, 11:56 AM [ in reply to In Banff Canada they have landscaped wildlife overpasses*** ]

There's a few between Denver & Colorado Springs on I-25. The area of the original poster's video is a 4-lane divided highway, leading from I-70 to the town of Evergreen. Very similar Hwy 76 between I-85 and Clemson.

So much wildlife out here (Colorado) that if they were to put these overpasses/crossings in place, they'd be every quarter-mile.

The last elk to cross must have been the leader of the gang

Dec 19, 2022, 10:25 AM

He did a heck of a job. Maybe he wood be willing to serve as President of the NCAA?

Fingers crossed.

A couple of times we had a herd of around 150 in our back yard grazing for about an hour. I took over 250 pictures both times. One of my favorite shots.

that's pretty awesome. Would be neat to live so close to that. I live in KY where there is the largest Elk population in the Eastern US, but live on the other end of the state from the elk. However, they apparently have adapted to the land differently here and move in smaller herds than out west.
