WTC Building 7 purportedly collapsed from the vibrations caused by the collapse of the two Twin Towers.
A huge repository of FBI records were irrevocably lost when Building 7 collapsed.
Numerous structural engineers had opined that vibrations could not have led to the complete collapse of the much much shorter Bldg 7.
Cue call for the ‘muh spiracy’ sheep to start bleating.

No…but the exterior wall structure did include tubular steel columns (of decreasing thickness as you move up the building). With that said…yes it’s entirely possible for the plane to slice through these columns…as it indeed did. These 9/11 conspiracy theories are absolutely silly.

I’ve got no beef with you SOLOS and I’m not looking to get into a long discussion on physics and engineering. However misplaced/erroneous, at least your theories about the collapse(s) are based on scientific curiosity and a natural skepticism…not bad photoshops and propaganda.

This, IMO, is correct … but only relevant for Towers 1 and 2.
Unaddressed and shouted down are any questions about how WTC Building 7 also collapsed. The purported reason is that vibrations from the collapse of the Twin Towers did it.
Building 7 circumstantially contained a huge repository of FBI records. What a coincidence.

High speed impacts do not follow your intuition. During high-speed impacts materials undergo very high dynamic pressures and different 'rules' apply as to when and how they fail.

Talk about the circumstances surrounding the collapse of Twin Towers has the understandable emotional aspect to hold everyone’s attention.
The real conspiracy about 9 / 11 has to do with the much shorter WTC building 7, which purportedly collapsed because of vibrations from collapse of Twin Towers.
Building 7 contained a trove of classified documents … I may have misstated the FBI connection. It may have been CIA or Pentagon top secret documents. All of those documents were destroyed in the Bldg 7 collapse. Very convenient.
Of COURSE neither the FBI, CIA, nor Pentagon would commit dastardly crime(s) against humanity to further their own interests.
I need to do some more digging on this next part: Supposedly an audit of $1,000,000,000,000 of unaccounted Pentagon funds was either underway or to begin in around the time frame of H2-2001.
No worries … the (very sparse) talk about Blgd 7 collapse is just another MAGAT level conspiracy theory.

An architect is not close to an engineer. I am a professional engineer as well, and I know enough of 'us' that are as crazy as anyone else (i.e., democrats).
So in some cases respect may be called for when someone is a PE, in others, they are simply nut cases that happened to be smart enough to pass engineering school and the PE exam.
As soon as I see such simple-minded thinking starting with 'the melting point of steel' then I know the person is reaching.
I am intimately familiar with analysis of the aircraft impact into the WTCs and results were pretty darn similar to reality.
