Has a team with these metrics ever started 2-2? No, seriously...does anyone have any insight into this?
This has to be unprecedented or, at the least, statistically improbable.
I don't care what anyone says, we are a good team that is trending in the right direction. Unsure what our final record will be but it is beyond dispute that we are already a much better team than last year.

Didn't Dabo say we have given up 36 points off turnovers through 4 games and 38 points off turnovers ALL of last year? 😬

Yup. Turnovers by the offense, lack of explosive big plays, missed kicks, and lack of turnovers and sacks/tfls by the defense have been the bullets we've had to eat so far in our losses this year. You take away two of the above issues, this team is probably undefeated still.

Most of them are probably Clemson "fans" they just didn't like the hire and are desperate to be right and are willing to ignore reality to fit their preconceived notion. Same people wanted Spiller fired and many were starting to call for Venables to be fired before he left

I would like to consider myself a fan. Grew up rooting for the Tigers when nobody knew who we were. Went to the military and got my degree a lot later than most but hey I got it. What we have to realize is that Clemson is about a lot more than just football. People call it going into battle and what not but hey at the end of the day nobody was shooting at us and none of our buddies didn’t get to go home. We may be back to our times in the 90’s or we may be on the verge of greatness. Whichever it is so be it but I’ll continue to pull for our Tigers and keep living life because at the end of the day it’s football. Go Tigers in everything not just football!

When it happens multiple times its no longer luck or coincedence. The future is bright if we can keep the roster intact. But the immediate season is not going well. We've played 2 power 5 teams and lost. Going back to last year weve lost 4 games in a row to power 5 opponents. Its no longer about luck, its about coaching. Luck doesnt go prevent defense and let them drive the length of the field before half. Luck is missinga blitz pickup tbat creates 6 points for the other team. I love my alma mater, but right now we aren't good and we arent unlucky.

This is about where we were with Dabos first Natty. I think offense was little higher at 16th or something like that and around 37pts per game but positive on Turnovers, 14 I think.

It is beyond debate that we are a more functional/complete team RIGHT NOW than at any point last year.
The only reason we won the ACCCG was because of the QB who is currently starting for us. The QB who has drastically improved in every statistical category from last year to this year.
We keep turning it over. We have got to get it fixed, no doubt. But we are clearly a better offense and defense. Our secondary was absolutely atrocious last year and our pass game was absolutely atrocious.

There are 3 phases. Do our special teams look functionally complete to you? The QB nobody liked the last 2 years was 22-6 as a starter. The one we have right now is 2-3. We are 2-2 right now as a team. Care to go back and see when the last time we started a season 2-2 was?
I'm not throwing in the towel on this team at all. I just think there are a lot of decisions to be made and some things that need to be changed to get back on the real trend line that we all want.

We may actually be one of the few power 5 teams to play two ranked opponents at this point in the season.

anomaly. What I mean by that is, we have gotten just about the worst possible outcome from nearly every fumble or interception that has happened. Scoop and scores, and Pick Sixes are just not that common.
It will not placate the Sky is Falling Rant crowd, but, averages are average for a reason. That means, we are due to have some things go our way, in a big way, going forward.
Either that, or we are going to set a new NCAA record for turnover futility. I believe we have too much talent to go that route, so, I prefer to think that better days are ahead. If that makes me a "Pumper", then Pumper I am.

Just curious how these stats compared to previous years and previous teams.
Would almost be willing to bet we are ranked higher right now on offense and defense than our 2015 and 2016 teams through 4 games. Crazy.
