Seriously, I've worked out with just guys and it's gross. Having women around seems to keep most guys honest...

bunch of guys, there's a lot of grunting and flinging around of heavy weights. This still happens when there are women around, but they at least carry a towel and wipe off their sweat so the pretty lady won't have to get it on her.

making so much noise that everyone in the place can hear him. Usually he's lifting too much weight and his form is bad. Case in point, last week, there was a guy grunting and groaning and occasionally making some sound that I can only describe as a 'yelp'. I thought a dog had been kicked.
Meanwhile, doofus is doing lat pulldowns and using his waist more than his back and arms. he was leaning back so much that he was almost lying down on the bench. He also squealed a bit while doing bicep curls.

place has 3 locations. The one near my place seems to only have fitness equipment (no classes). I can join that for $19.95/month.
As a faculty member, I can join the club with the classes for $25. But it doesn't appear that they have a real weight room and that seems pointless to me though.
For $30/month, I can join all 3 clubs and get the classes (and tanning) included.
The 3rd club is their Crossfit/Martial Arts/Kickboxing location. Crossfit would NOT be included, of course.
There are a couple of recreation centers on the campus where I'll work. I need to figure out their rates for that place.
Right now, I at Gold's in Clemson for $29/month. That includes all classes and membership to the Anderson gym.
$10/month is super cheap! Where the heck is that?
