3+2ish Things Regarding the "Tyler" Discussions and trying to be objective

from both sides.

1.) I think Tyler voiced a thought or sentiment that has passed Tiger Fan's Minds before if not spoken.

Counter-who cares how much Dabo makes, his record speaks for itself. I personally agree with this, I don't care about his money. He's a state-employee, that means Coots have to pay his salary too.

2.) I think Tyler touched a nerve that elicited an emotional response from Coach, including the extended conversation in the follow up press conference. Part of does think this was not the normal look for Dabo, and I was somewhat more understanding of where Tyler said "pride becomes before the fall".

Counter-I think, and guarantee, Dabo is fed up with the results more than a low-majority of the fan base. I think the emotion we saw overspill was that. I DO believe Dabo has a right to be "stubborn" (using his own words) because he's a. proved he has a working process and b. (i personally believe) has a long term vision we may not yet understand/see.

3.) I personally agree that good and loyal fans (not just the dumb loud-mouth's in the 1.5% or whatever) do have a right to critically discuss/think/share their opinions about the issues are in the program, trajectory, whatever without being labeled as pariahs or outcasts.

Counter-Dabo knows football better than anyone here, so we trust and have faith in him to address what some may be seeing purely from an objective stand-point (ie they are not bad fans). BUT-I think the big point of all of this is-that as a fan base, we can ALWAYS DO BETTER AT APPRECIATING WINS AND SUPPORTING OUR TEAM.

Misc. Things:
-The health of our program will better serve our athletes. It's the old expression on airplanes "secure your mask before assisting others".
-Lastly, I like the fire in Dabo, him being pissed, and him being frustrated. The Dabo I know will turn that into ROY Bus/BYOG building blocks. I just don't want him to do that anywhere but in these Hills!!

Be kind to one another, and GO TIGERS!
