2023 week 1 prayers

Hello my Tiger brethren. Monday will begin our journey with this team of Tigers. While we all hope for an amazing season, it is my most fervent prayer that we remember to be good human beings and remember to keep all things in perspective. For the last two years, I have kept our players and coaches in prayers, a select group each week until the end of the regular season. The focus is not on the football score but on the players. All are invited to be a part of the prayers.
This first grouping for the first week, I pray for confidence and health for each player. I pray that they have studied well and are at peace with their role. I pray for Olsen Patt Henry, Sheridan Jones, Paul Tyson, Hunter Helms and Hamp Greene. I pray for Jamal Anderson, Peter Nearn, Jade Kinard, Jeremiah Trotter and Chapman Pendergrass. I pray for Blake Miller and Jack Smith. May each of them find success in their purpose and remember that they are loved.
I pray for Coach C J Spiller that he continues to blossom in his role as mentor and muse to his players, that he has peace in his soul.
I pray for all our Tigers that they remain healthy and sound throughout the week.
