2017 Season

Nov 2, 2016, 2:19 PM

I know we are in the midst of another great run this year, so this is not meant to distract, BUT obviously the massive question is who plays QB next year? (which has been discussed ad naseum)

However, what concerns me is with our stuttering play this year, while we are able to rotate in DL/OL/RBs/WRs/CBs etc .... we haven't yet really been able to get Bryant out there to at least take some snaps. So next year we have Bryant and Cooper, as the main guys. Not awful to have standing around, but we need to get some meaningful snaps out the backups this year.

Hopefully these next three games we can give DW4 some rest and get the other guys some experience. (I know Co0per is RS) Also looking forward to having a year where both lines are solid and fierce (and a Defence which is returning) but we have a QB question. Change up the narrative a bit.

Gallman might come back and we will play Feaster a lot. That'll take a lot of pressure off of the QB.

I think Gallman leaves. That NCSU headhunt probably made him realize he needs to get paid. RBs don't have long careers. That being said, a solid Oline with feaster makes things nice.

I can imagine a lot of easy screens and jet sweeps to start the year too....

No chance Gallman comes back

Gallman is already 22. I don't think he's coming back.

I have a feeling it may be Cooper but I wouldn't count out Hunter Johnson either especially if he decides to enroll early. with the offensive weapons we have coming back the O line coming back and new weapons coming in I think they will make any of our QB's look good. And if all else fails we got one hell of a defense coming back.

I agree with you on Cooper or the possibility of Johnson, I would move Bryant to wide out or safety.

We gonna lose now ??

Could be our best defense ever. We

need people to step up at QB, TE, and RB. OL should be fine.

Agreed. The D should be solid next season.***

If no one on defense leaves early for the draft we will return basically 36 of 40 defensive players and that is not counting current commits.

Tee Martin won a Natty. Peyton didn't.

We are at that talent level now. While we will certainly miss #4, there is a ton of talent coming back. Our schedule shapes up to be slightly better next year as well.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

OL will be nasty next year, so new QB should be fine.

Nov 2, 2016, 9:55 PM

Call me crazy, but I say we'll be better at every position next year except QB, and I'm not worried about that position due to the talent we've recruited and, of course, the OL.

Defense (or defence, as you say in the U.K.) will be stronger.
