From the Scrapbook: 1974 CU-Uga "Tails from the Past"

Jul 20, 2013, 2:06 PM

Flipping through the ol' scrapbook, I found this recap of the 1974 Clemson vs. Georgia game as published in The Tiger as a prelude to the 1978 contest.

Just trying to do my part to whet T-net's appetite for the big season opener, as well as fill the football void until fall camp commences.

Enjoy . . .

Go, Tigers!

One of my favorite memories.... My freshman year.... Excitement Galore in '74.... After we beat Tech and UGA we were declared the GA state champs! Looking forward this year to being the GA, SC, ACC, and National Champs!!

'Twas my senior year! Thought we had hit the big time winning seven games that season.

Go, Tigers!

1974 CU-Uga "Tails from the Past" That night at Littlejohn

Jul 20, 2013, 6:36 PM

there was a concert. Montrose, T Rex, then the headliner Black Oak Arkansas... The lead singer comes on stage says "I heard y'all won today" I've never heard Littlejohn louder for any event...It was crazy...The opening band Montrose had some dude named Sammy Hagar as a lead singer...and Snappin Tigers holding a recent learners permit got to drive his cousins 1969 Boss 302 back to Pendelton...ah the memories
