So I see SEC teams got about 51 mil for the 23-24 season. Anyone know what the acc teams got? My guess is a coupon book for local restaurants in the Carolinas.

are estimated to be around $32 Million per year. Therefor an additional $1.5 Million is automatic.
When all is said and done, the distribution will likely be around $42-$44 Million per ACC school.

If we had the extra 11 or 12 million we'd just spend it. 40 million should be enough for any college. Just my opinion.

What does the extra money buy you? A roller coaster beside the practice fields? Two slides? What exactly?
It’s perfectly evident we make enough money to get whatever we need from coaches to slides. The gap may widen or we more likely will be on the move from the ACC, but what does the extra money buy you?
I see all these people freaking out about getting left behind in a conference and/or money situation. Not happening. Regardless of how it works out from a conference standpoint, Clemson has shown be can be one of the premier teams in America, and we have all we need and the money to buy whatever else we may need. If you assume we stay put in the league and the money gap gets even bigger , what will the money do for the programs who have never been able to become elite because of the big money?
At the end of the day, the elite and great programs have remained the same regardless of conference affiliation and money. At the same time, having extra SEC or B1G money hasn’t helped the perennial doormats like Vandy and uofSC or Northwestern and Indiana, for example. In spite of the gaps, the great programs have remained the great programs and the scrubs have remained scrubs.
Clemson makes the money to win national championships. Money isn’t holding us back.

You’re making the mistake of looking at the current situation without thinking about future changes. When revenue sharing happens (and it will) the higher resourced schools will be significantly more attractive to athletes. Remaining on the same playing field with title contenders will be next to impossible

What can more money do to make a school look more “attractive” to a player?
The point again is, Clemson has everything that everyone else has, and if someone comes up with something new to attract athletes we do and will have money to do it.
Again, if a significant delta between the SEC and B1G versus the ACC has always existed and not hurt us, how would a hypothetical larger delta change anything?
A roller coaster perhaps? Please re-read the OP. You’re stuck on thinking we don’t make enough money or that we won’t be able to build stuff and attract athletes. Contrarily we have all the money we need to compete at the highest level, and that’s not going to change regardless of how conferences shake out.
Just good for thought too - Clemson is the second biggest brand available for the pending expansion to super conferences. Notre Dame is most attractive while Clemson and FSU are right behind them. Clemson WILL be filing suit against the ACC, probably this month, and we are not staying in a broken league. The ACC shat the bed by bringing in irrelevant football programs, and as such didn’t nothing to strengthen its future.
Bottom line is, if the ACC sticks together and reworks its TV deals (and even if not), then Clemson will be just fine keeping up with the Jones’s just as we have with the current monetary delta.
Again, there are no SEC or B1G teams suffering for money, but the decades of data show money isn’t what makes a program.
Clemson is fine. The delta you’re so concerned about will not change anything as far as having what we need to win at the highest level.

No, you are the one missing the point. The model is changing. Facilities aren’t going to be the big draw. When players start getting paid AS EMPLOYEES the extra millions the Big and SEC are making will matter…a lot.
But I agree with you that Clemson will be in one of those two conferences sooner than later.

in their football program to anywhere near the level as the majority of their respective conference members, or Clemson, Fsu, etc. So that point is invalid. If I wasn't tired of typing, I'd generously tip over the rest of them for you.

you need to look at NET .
A school may get 20 mil more .. but they may have an operating budget that is 40 mil more than Clemson's. IN that situation Clemson is actually in a healthier situation than a school getting more money.
I used to say that I know a lot of SEC schools have gymnastics and softball teams to support that Clemson does not... so it may all just wash out on the excel sheets.
I can't say that anymore.

we don't need it, we won 2 NCs fairly recently without it, money doesn't help anything and provides no advantage. 10 years down the road when USuC has stacked up nearly a half billion dollars in football revenue and over a qtr a billion more than us we'll still be able to see them with a decent telescope—
