we have all off season for prep / wrinkles and a fair amount of new personnel - we are talented enough to beat them if they cough the ball up like idgits or make some common first game (coaching or player) mistakes

USuC always said they liked playing them early in the year because many of their starters and key players are suspended for the first three games for various rules violations and legal issues.

Georgia is loaded, but will be a largely different team than 2023 due to graduation, early NFL departures, and the portal. I’m hoping that they are frat from jelling as a team in game 1.

I don't get the VT hype for next year. They have barely had a recruiting class higher than # 40 for the last 5 or 6 years. Should beat them easily.

Let us not forget, we held those dolts to 10-3 in the first game of their 2021 Natty season, when we had DJ at QB, and ZERO offense. I believe we are better than that Clemson team, and Georgia is not as good as that Georgia team. So, that game should be a tossup. Or, in Georgia's case when they lose, a "toss your cookies".

The problem is no one really knows how a 17 team conference will work out. It is not likely, but it is mathematically possible there could be 3 undefeated teams in the conference this year.
I'm not gonna go through all the possibilities, but here are two possible - highly unlikely, but possible - scenario:
Clemson, Miami and SMU do not play each other.
FSU, Louisville and NCSU do not play each other.
But, I predict a 1 loss conference record will get a team to Charlotte. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
