How do they have 8 on the 1st team and 9 on the 2nd but still give out a 6th man of the year award and he's not part of the 8?

Not great on math Dave? The 6th Man award has nothing to do with the 1st team All Conference team. Here we go, teams have 5 starters so the 6th Man award is for non starters. If you were old like me, you would remember the days when John Havlicek of the Celtics was considered the best 6th Man in the NBA.

Yes teams have 5 starters, unless it's the SEC all conference that has 8. So then the 6th man should be on that team.

This is just in keeping with their new philosophy of wanting more of EVERYTHING.

They want more slots in the Playoff, AND they want more money FROM the Playoff that everybody else, on top of that. How arrogant can one group be?

no surprise considering the way they football recruit and sign as many as they want wenever they want. It not a conference based on math skills. But it is good for a hen fight at times
