Height: 6-3 Weight: 228 Hometown: Charlotte, NC (Phillip Berry Academy HS) Class: 2012
According to Craig Haubert of ESPN:
Dawson racked up 123 tackles, 6 for loss, 6 sacks and an interception returned for 85 yards last year. As a sophomore, he had 125 tackles and 6 interceptions. He is in his 4th year as a starter for his high school team.
"As a linebacker prospect, he has good size and displayed overall good athleticism. He did take some lumps in the pass-rushing drills and still needs to develop in this area, but he had a good day in coverage. He had an interception we saw in the half-skelly drill and overall displayed good potential and ability as a zone-coverage defender. He was able to open up and drop, as well as plant and break on the underneath ball and also flashed good ball skills."
