3-star 2018 defensive end Taylor Upshaw from Bradenton, FL (Braden River HS) has received a Clemson offer on Monday according to his Twitter account. The 6-foot-5, 240-pound junior is the brother of current walk-on Clemson linebacker Regan Upshaw, Jr. and the son of former NFL defensive lineman Regan Upshaw, the 12th overall pick in the 1996 NFL Draft by the Tampa Buccaneers.
Upshaw called Clemson his dream school in the following tweet. "WOW! Truly Blessed to receive an offer to my Dream school Clemson University and have the opportunity to play with my Brother! Go Tigers!" The Upshaw family learned about Clemson when Regan Sr. was taking his daughter to western North Carolina in the spring of 2015. The family noticed a Clemson sign and stopped in to see the campus. He sent his son, Regan, Jr., to head coach Dabo Swinney’s high school camp that summer. Upshaw has 26 offers including Clemson, Arizona, Georgia Tech, Oklahoma, Oregon, and Pittsburgh. WOW!
