Trumpsters, think about this please

His policies were good in a lot of ways. There are many things I like about Trump, I have been a center right Republican my entire life and have rarely voted for Democrats. But can we on the right be honest and acknowledge that Trump is flawed? I mean it’s just so crystal clear that he has a narcissistic personality disorder. What he did after the election is ridiculous and proves he has a personality disorder and Republicans should move away from him especially given that he will be I think 78 in 2024.
Hopefully Republicans will say DeSantis is the choice and let’s get away from Trump. What has been so surprising to me is how many people have stayed with Trump even when it’s so obvious he is a mess. I’m hoping enough sane people will write the ship and a Republican that’s not Trump will be president in 2024.

I don’t see how he would win the primary at this point.

I definitely don’t think he would win the general election.
I agree, he did some great things as president, but unfortunately those are overshadowed by his lies and behavior regarding the 2020 election.
If the Republican Party is smart, it will do whatever it takes to make sure he isn’t the nominee.

Name 1-3 things Trump did before running for president. I can. Filed bankruptcy multiple times. Left small business owners high and dry without paying them. Sleazy friendship with Jeff Epstein.

1) Changed the Judicial landscape (even though many of you don't see this as a positive)- Over the course of Donald Trump's presidential term, he nominated 234 lawyers, judges, and politicians for federal judgeships.
Out of the 234 judges appointed, three of the public servants made it to The Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, 174 judges were confirmed for the US Court of Appeals and 54 judges assumed positions with the US District Courts.
To round out the exact aforementioned number, three more officials were confirmed for the US Court of International Trade. 2) Historic peace deals - https://thefederalist.com/2020/09/15/trump-signs-historic-abraham-accords-for-peace-in-the-middle-east/ 3) Ended the lopsided NAFTA and TPP trade agreements 4) The US became a net energy exporter - energy independence 5) Eliminated the Obamacare individual mandate 6) Lowered drug prices - (including things like insulin) 7) Built over 400 miles of the world’s most robust and advanced border wall 8) Created a new branch of the military - Space Force 9) Massive deregulation to help consumers and the economy as a whole 10) Executive Order 13848 - the President declared a national emergency pursuant to the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (50 U.S.C. 1701 etseq.) to deal with the unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States constituted by the threat of foreign interference in or undermining public confidence in United States elections. 11) Keystone pipeline 12) Ended federal funding of abortion 13) Executive Order 13818 - Executive Order Blocking the Property of Persons Involved in Serious Human Rights Abuse or Corruption (You can't see this one yet either, but will - why would this even be needed?)

The problem is that people confused trump the man, with trump the character he played on the apprentice. It was all utter BS, and people ate it up. He is not, and never was a successful businessman. The fact that he cheated on his pregnant wife, spoke poorly about one of our own graduates and fleeced people out of their hard-earned money through Trump University, would have been enough. Those things were all verifiable and accepted facts in 2015, yet you all voted for him in the primaries anyway, I mean he won by a landslide.
Trump was not the problem, he was a product. It was the Republican voters that caused this mess. Most fell on the lower end of the IQ spectrum, many were at the end of their ropes financially, some were flat-out greedy, and the Evangelicals looked the other way because they knew he would flip the direction of the SCOTUS for the next 30-40 years, taking us back to 1950's era social policy.
slow clap for you guys seriously, good job. and there is nothing to like about him, really nothing about the man deserves any adoration or respect. His actions on Jan 6 are who he is and always was, most of you just did not see it coming.

Trump's policies empowered and put more African Americans and Hispanics to work than any other President. Are you saying that minorities should be told they have to vote Democrat because they're not supposed to think for themselves.
Things Trump did.
1. Higher Employment and Wages (no matter what Biden says, there are less people working and having less spendable income than February 2020)
2. Energy Independence (Please UAE and Saudi Arabia pump more oil to help uncle Joe. You never heard that before Jan 2021 )
3. Shut the spigot off for NATO countries not paying their part.
4. Put tariffs in place for China and others to build up American economy by selling American products. (It's a two way street. You buy our products or pay tarriffs on the difference.)
I can keep going but you only asked Judge for 3.

He had the remains of fallen US soldiers returned from North Korea without paying a dime. He pardoned more black people than most presidents and signed policies to give black business owners incentives.

My heavens you feel good about yourself.
How incredibly ignorant of Democrat voters and poorly informed Repub voters to assert that Trump voters are at the bottom end of the IQ spectrum.
Do you really think that Trump voters loved him for his stupid Apprentice show, or his stupid Trump University venture, or his marital infidelities? Au contraire, dear child.
I'm a proud Trump voter, and although I do not profess to be the world's pre-eminent genius (that status is reserved for you), I became interested when Trump openly spoke about the terrible shape that the USA was in due to our trade policies with P.R.China.
Most of the economic staff on both Repub and Democrat parties are associated with Wall Street bankers (Mnuchin, Geithner, etc.); these guys move back and forth between Gov't and their Wall Street employers. Wall Street has made huge money via the USA's trade policies with P.R.China. Also, the legacy Repubs and Democrats made big money (insider trading is allowed via thinly veiled vehicles) on the trade policies with P.R.China, so they did not want to dismantle the trade policies which were so favorable to P.R.C. as a nation and so favorable to them as individuals.
DJT tried to address this (he had a terrible time with getting good staff, thanks to traitors such as Reince Preibus, his evil son-in-law Kushner, his stupid daughter Ivanka, etc. etc. etc.) but he was run out of Dodge by the Repub party as much (or moreso) than the Democrat party.
Ignorant Democrats don't pay attention to these details, and instead pat themselves on the back by looking at the superficial foibles of the president / presidential candidates and ignore the real things that they can do to drive the country forward, or to support the gradual degradation of the country.
Yep, ignorant Democrats remember the TV shows and Enquirer Magazine stories, and that's the end of their thought process.
Yep, those are the 'smart' Democrat voters who profess that Trump voters are the ones with the low IQ.

and nobody has learned a god #### thing.
You're right - Donnie is a con man. He'd sell his mother's oxygen machine for the right price if she had stage 4 lung cancer.
You're also right - Donnie is a product.
What you're ignorantly (idk if it's intentional or not) failing to acknowledge is the landscape that was the United States for the first decade and a half of this century. We were really starting to feel the pain from globalism - and by we I mean working class people by and large.
We witnessed the government, with bi-partisan ####### support, shell out record smashing levels of capital to bail out the banks who were robbing us blind for a decade after slick Billy repealed Glass - Steagal. We had two presidential cycles (8 ####### YEARS) of nearly 0% Fed Funds rate1. It took two presidential cycles for the wages to get back to pre-GFC levels2, while the markets nearly quadrupled in value over the same time period. The economy was a #### show, driven to inflate the wealth of the shareholders and the Street, while completely screwing over Main Street.
The only thing Obama did (and quite frankly, he didn't do ####, he got lucky as hell and got bailed out by the private sector via the fracking boom) was control oil/energy prices.
We had the same people, from the same government, doing the same ######## over and over and over and over and over again, and yet no one said anything about it. So a con man did what a con man does - found a market and exploited the #### out of it.
One thing Donnie did that I appreciate, is he took the entire model and turned it right on its ####### head. Someone needed to do it, and unfortunately, it had to be a dude so consumed with himself that he DGAF what anyone said about it.
Pinning the "problem" on your fellow countrymen is peak ignorance given the past 30-40 years of politics in this country. We're just ants in a jar. And this sentiment will continue to get worse with the hyper-polarization driven by the state sponsored corporate media and social media algos.
I posted ~2.5 years ago that we'd likely be right back where we started circa 2015. I'm still long that position b/c economically, for us pleebs, we got some ###### quarters in front of us. Identity politics don't really work when you're scraping by, and there's a lot of folks right now scraping by and we're just getting started.
Side tangent - one of y'all's favorite counter arguments these days is "Hey, look at all the inflation across the globe". Go back to mid 2010s and look at all the nationalist politicians that were gaining popularity. Take a step back, apply the same logic, and evaluate the global phenomenon that there was significant pushback against the status quo of wars, central banks, and bending over working class folks and shoving it right up our ###. Is that all Republicans here in the States too?

Yeah, Trump has a number of serious personality issues, but with that said he was 100x better than the train wreck we have now.
The reason the leftists hated him is because of peer pressure from their echo chambers.

DJT /election fraud: Dominion - GA Dem 2022 primary fraud
Jul 4, 2022, 9:14 PM
[ in reply to If you don’t get Trump is incapable ] |
|
The Dominion voting machines fraud is coming to light via the 2022 GA primary (a commissioner's position).
Dominion voting machines were among the big factors in the errant initial election results.
An audit revealed the problems.
NY Times article (cut and paste of a few paragraphs) June 6, 2022
"A candidate for a county office near Atlanta was vaulted into first place after a series of technical errors made it appear that she had not mustered a single Election Day vote in a vast majority of precincts in last month’s Democratic primary, election officials determined.
The candidate, Michelle Long Spears, was shortchanged by 3,792 votes in the District 2 primary for the Board of Commissioners in DeKalb County, Ga., that was held on May 24, according to newly-certified results released on Friday.
In all but four of the district’s nearly 40 precincts, no Election Day votes were recorded for Ms. Spears, who had received more than 2,000 early votes. She said that she immediately alerted state and county election authorities."
Of course, NYT would never mention the role that Dominion Voting Machines played as far as switching votes away from Ms. Spears (the eventual winner) during the pre-recount vote.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
But for all of you who hate DJT and believe what you want to believe about the 2020 election fraud, this incidence of the Dominion Voting machines 'malfunction' illustrates that fraud was indeed a real possibility in GA, and may have also played a role in other states that use Dominion machines.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Take off the blinders and pay attention.

Dominion is about to win several multi-billion dollar lawsuits against Fox, OAN, and Newsmax. OAN is unlikely to even survive the trial - they're in dire financial straits already - and Newsmax will almost certainly not survive a negative judgment. Even Fox is going to feel it bigly if they get hit with the kind of punitive judgment Dominion is seeking...and seems very likely to get. There's also a host of individuals in hot water for defamation as well.
Defamation cases are usually hard to win, but most legal observers think a high percentage of these are actually going to succeed because of how flagrant Fox/OAN/Newsmax were about it. They also think this may signal the end of the modern-day outlaw "conservative journalist/infotainer" who just flings baseless accusations around Alex Jones-style, especially once it becomes obvious that the thing you can't do is sell conspiracy theories while defaming people to garner ratings. Which basically means conservative media will have to find a new game. Alex Jones himself, by the way, just got absolutely crushed by his own defamation lawsuit from the Sandy Hook survivors, and is filing bankruptcies left and right, trying to save his business. (Jones is also trying - without success - to cooperate with the Feds regarding the Willard Hotel business. The Feds don't seem interested in what he has to say.)
If Fox loses this suit, and OAN/Newsmax go under, you can expect big, big changes from whatever remains of Fox. Rupert Murdoch doesn't like losing billions of dollars. Ever.
Your view of reality is about to be tried in many, many courtrooms. I don't think it's going to go well for your side.

Excellent perspective about Dominion's counterattack against those who publicly berated their equipment and company.
This Georgia primary election debacle, in which Dominion Machines were in a horse race to win the 'worst offender' title, goes to show that the programming and/or security measures associated with the machines are unimpressive, at best.
Voting machines are supposed to be hard to hack & tamper. The evidence is trickling in that both hacking and tampering are easy.
It'll be interesting watch this all unfold, and it's for sure a big deal for America (however it turns out).

Americans / love of narcissistic presidents: DJT, Obama, etc
Jul 4, 2022, 8:47 PM
|
|
Obama and DJT are both narcissistic. That personality trait, by itself, does not make them either good or bad presidents.
FDR and Teddy Roosevelt were narcissists (not commenting here about how good or bad that they were as presidents).
JFK, LBJ, and Nixon were narcissists.
Before them, FDR, Woodrow Wilson, and (IMO) Teddy Roosevelt were narcissists.
Many people believe that Andrew Jackson was a narcissist.
Judge for yourself whether each of the above were great, good, bad, or terrible presidents.

Anyone who fights against them effectively is going to be mercilessly slandered and will have the power of the deep state leveraged against them in every way possible. Right now that is Trump, but it will be the same no matter who it is, even if it is DeSantis.
I like DeSantis, but if he were to displace Trump, literally 5 seconds later all of the MSM, pop culture, Twittersphere, all of it would be full of rage and hate against him along with bombshell stories about awful things he's done or said in the past, 99.9% of it false. This is simply their playbook, it is just what commies do. Stop running from it.

That being said, I didn't vote for him, because voting is an act of aggression.
