What's to not like about playing for a 10th win and seeing Mickey and Minnie.

I thought J Ross was transitioning to NFL training and not playing right?

That started back in the regular season so he had stopped practicing with the team then. Part is rehab and part is prep for the combine. Even if he was physically able to go, the lack of practice would limit what he could do.

His ability to practice. Reinjuring in the UCONN game ended his season. He has to let his foot completely heal.

Jayron Kearse in the 2015 national championship. He didn’t technically opt out, but he might as well have.

Clemson culture on full display.
I so wish Putnam would have said "we're in beautiful Orlando when we could have been sitting at home waiting on a bus ride to Charlotte"... Would've been classic troll.
Seriously, this is good for the team chemistry, bonding with new coaches without much pressure. Thinking it'll pay dividends for 2022. As @dhood said, a renewal. Re- Dedication of sorts.

I’m so tired of the national media bashing our programs and our coach. Two seasons ago, (I kept the COVID season out because of the circumstances) but the bowl games at the end of 2019, excluding the CFP, every single team in every other bowl had at least one player sit out? It speaks volumes of our program and the way the players play for each other. Unfortunately in our “me me me” society we will see less and less of this.

I’m sure ESPN will have a feature on Clemson’s culture

with a focus on having no opt-outs. They’ll just gush about how Clemson does it the right way and how recruits and recruits’ Moms should take notice. I’m just sure of it. They are honest, neutral reporters of sports news and this seems like a topic that would be of interest to the college football watching community.
