Grisham comment

“ they are going to help us continue to improve and excel and get back to where we want to be. “
He was talking about the 2023 class. Based on this comment it sounds like he knows we need to improve and are not “where we want to be”.
But I thought the coaches all had their heads in the sand and thought everything was good???

Awareness that as a coach you and your position players underperformed is a pre-requisite to improvement. As well stated, when Street was shown the street, any heads in the sand came out.

He’s a summer enrollee so that’s the only thing that gives me pause about him being an instant impact guy at the beginning of the season. Noble has size ready to play and the extra six months will do wonders for him. If we don’t see any of the freshman push for meaningful snaps with this depth chart then we are worse off than we thought. Grisham needs to earn his paycheck this year.

The good thing about Riley's offense is its simplicity. Even with a summer enrollee, Screen, Fly, Post, Corner, Out... not exactly rocket science. I'm really looking forward to seeing if the freshman receivers can adapt to it.

Understatement of the year!

Antonio Williams was the ONLY bright spot at wideout. We saw flashes of brilliance at times from some guys. We just haven’t had the studs we’ve grown accustomed to in quite a while. Tee Higgins was the last bonafide stud we had. When you have a Nuk Hopkins Sammy Watkins duo, it spoils you. We need one of those caliber receivers every year. It seems to be what separates the playoff teams from everyone else. Great receiver plus great QB and an elite defense. Our D needs to step back into the top 5 of all categories too. Excited for what’s to come. Still holding my breath. A little.

Excited about what these WR's can achieve with CK2 & Riley

Especially Williams, Randall, Collins, Turner, Johnson, and Hanafin. Riley will know by Spring who has the potential to help the team this season, and by Summer, Riley will be developing the potential stars.

I miss watching our WRs dominate like Artavis Scott putting up 162 yds on Boston College or Tee Higgins putting up 182 yds on Virginia. Guys that can take a game over.
