The polls have shifted toward Biden....
Apr 9, 2024, 9:13 AM

https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/polls/president-general/
If you look at the last 12 polls, 5 are Biden, 5 are Trump, and 2 are even.
A month ago, Trump was consistently ahead in all the polls.
It's too early to draw any conclusions. But it's interesting to track. There was a movement toward Biden after the SOTU speech. Not a huge movement, but a noticeable bump.

Those national polls are interesting...

But it will come down to the same states that we had in 2020: Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona, Nevada, Georgia....maybe North Carolina.
Dems put an abortion ballot initiative in Florida, which will drive alot of turnout. But I think Trump still will be safe in Florida. Rick Scott, OTOH, had better watch out.

You could have legitimately started fighting that with a real Republican in office in Nikki Haley, who would crush Biden in the general, but y'all can't stop your obsession with the big fat orange manbaby and his idiocy because y'all love his hatefulness. That, and you can't stand the idea of a woman being in charge.

-Haley would have crushed Biden in the general. This is a fact based on the polling.
-Y'all are still obsessed with Trump.
-You particularly like Trump because of his hate toward minorities and women, which is hate you have spouted for years.
-You don't want a woman in charge because you already slam female voters all the time, to the point it appears you don't think they should be allowed to vote.
Please take any of these statements and explain why they're false.

I'll indulge your obsessive foolishness just for illustrative purposes, since you prove my point relentlessly.
- Haley might have crushed Biden, but she couldn't beat Trump, could she? Anyway, my preferred candidate was DeSantis. But between Doxxing, WEF-approved Haley and Trump, Trump's track record of success made him the better candidate.
- "Obsessed with Trump" ? TF?
- I don't hate minorities and women, but you do.
- Female voters vote left more than male. Is this news to you? And I suppose you have some evidence of your silly claim I don't think women should be allowed to vote? Of course you don't.
So, 0 for 4 there Catahuahua.

Of course she couldn't; she was only going up against Trump-obsessed voters and not the swath of independents who would put her in the White House tomorrow. That's the problem with the primaries, both parties: The idiots and worst candidates get out of there because the moron party loyalists think elections are football games.
Trump doesn't have a track record of success. He's a loser ousted by this nation. Haley's business sense would have been gold for our economy.
As for you liking DeSantis, he's Trump Jr. and you quickly went running back to your Orange Dear Leader once DeSantis got booted.
- "Obsessed with Trump" ? TF?
The numbers don't lie about the Pub obsession over this man.
- I don't hate minorities and women, but you do.
I'll punt to the older posters here who remember all the BS you've posted about them over the years.
- Female voters vote left more than male. Is this news to you? And I suppose you have some evidence of your silly claim I don't think women should be allowed to vote? Of course you don't.
You speak about them with such disdain and vitroil, it's only natural to assume. You don't exactly have a record for championing freedom here; just freedom for people like you.

If you prefer a proven liar, con man, fascist, and wannabe dictator who takes ##### on the Constitution instead. That's freedom, baby. But I don't want to see you crying in November when the Pubs lose all control of government when you could have had the White House with Nikki. Or cheering on a mob like you did last time.
Also, if you support Trump's policies, you're a leftist. Go read up on his economic proposals. If you can grasp them.
You Mr accusations are fun and cute.

I do believe it. Trump says and does horrible things. How he treats people is atrocious. Everyone who has ever worked closely with him has turned against him. That means he's the POS. He's the first incumbent whose former VP wouldn't endorse him. Why? Because, at best, he said atrocious things about him. At worst, Trump encouraged a mob to have him killed.
His hate isn't a secret or debatable. He's an angry, hateful, vengeful person. So when someone looks at that character and continues to blindly defend him and support him--again, I point you back to your rage post after the election where you called for a rise of Republican totalitarianism--it draws into question that own person's character. It's one thing to like a person's politics, but Trump can't seem to lock that down and his policies have swayed into the range of downright leftist at times. When he and y'all can't lock down consistencies with ideology or policy, what remains is the person himself. And that's what it's clear you love.
You were banned from this site for calling another poster's user a slut. You haven't offered any sort of apology for it. You clearly possess that same despicable character Trump has. He's unleased it in all of you and made you think it's acceptable to behave that way. For you to think that behavior was acceptable means you think Trump's similar behavior is acceptable. So that also measures your character.
So yes, you love his hatefulness. If you didn't, you would have turned on him long ago.

The Democrats strategy against RFK is working
They have peeled off 5% of his support and those voters are breaking 3:1 in Biden’s favor.
Trump looks like he’s about at his ceiling.

They booted him in 2020 because of his poor performance, divisiveness, and authoritarianism. So, the Pubs smart strategy would have been to move away from this rhetoric and cult of Trump, but they stupidly doubled down on it and plunged further into their Trump obsession.
2022 should have been a wake up call. But nope, more MAGA. It's the only time in history a party has continued to latch onto an ousted president, #### the torpedoes. And a former president who continues to push people away and starts spouting more extreme rhetoric.
It's possibly the dumbest move in American political history, assuming he loses (and he likely will). Sadly, I think Trumpers really still believe most of America loves the man.

I've learned to not ever discount Trump out. I thought he was a joke in 2016, and that was the most shocking election in my lifetime. Even in 2020, with the pandemic crushing his presidency, he actually came very close to defeating Biden.
I think the criminal prosecution(s) will hurt him, but I still think he has a chance to defeat Biden.

But we also have to remember that Presidential elections are often about the incumbent. And even though I personally think Biden is a good president, he's not very popular. So while Trump has built a following that's not a "broad" coalition, the pro-Biden turnout itself won't be very large.
I wouldn't put much stock in any polls until after the respective party conventions this summer. Whoever comes out of the two conventions the strongest in the polls has a very good chance.
