He kept it real ... no pretenses. Work hard. Naturally fast so focusing on technique(s). Listening to AJ Terrell and Andrew Booth on using additional available NFL time wisely. Will give back to his community since too many people from there are struggling. Will have a party with family on draft night to celebrate good fortune.

You are about to make life changing money. But, although it seems like it will last forever, you will most likely have a very short window, say no more than ten years MAX, where you are making that money. The average is less than half that amount of time. So, that money will have to sustain you, and your family, for a whole lot of time AFTER your playing days are over.

Now, this is not to say that your CLEMSON degree will not allow you to make money after a pro career. But, it will be a mere pittance compared to what you will earn during an NFL career, if you are a star player. Invest your money wisely, make SURE that the people you trust your money to ARE trustworthy, and pay it back in whatever ways you can to those who helped you get there.

Be a man of the people. Get involved in whatever community you wind up in. Not only will you do good, you will also probably not have time to do BAD, and wind up on the news in ways you don't want to. There are too many examples out there right now of young men who have just thrown their chance away by making one incredibly bad choice. Don't be one of them.
