Just remember your passport if you're going to Niagara

You need it to get across the border for the best view of the falls. The view from the American side is, to put it nicely, boring. And not much of a view at all.

"American" side? Niagara is in Central America and doesn't have a common border with the US...just saying. And most importantly, how does a trip there relate to Clemson University Tiger football? lol

Really? Nicaragua is in Central America ... Niagara Falls is very much on the border of Canada and America.

I remember growing up in western NY, we would go shopping in Canada all the time. When the dollar was strong, the candadian dollar was like 60 cents of the US dollar. No hassles at the border, we'd go back and forth several times a week.

Syracuse? Your reasons are fail!

Listing attractions and cities that are not even close to where the game is played. Unless youre making a week of it, none of those options are realistic, especially NYC. Thats like saying, hey come to a Clemson game and make a quick visit to Birmingham Alabama while youre here!

Less than 100 miles to Cooperstown and one of the best casinos in the northeast that also offers world class golfing.
The weather is usually pretty decent still in early October.

If you fly into Buffalo on Thursday, you could tour Niagara Falls, drive to Syracuse Thursday evening, take-in the MLB Hall-of-Fame on Friday, go to the game on Saturday, then fly back to SC on Sunday. There would be plenty of time to get it all in. Heck...you may even have time for the drive south to Bethel, NY and the site of the 1969 Woodstock festival. That said, I would not recommend a day trip to NYC. There is just too much to see and do to even attempt to get it all in in one afternoon.

The Finger Lakes are just south of Syracuse and are covered up in wineries, most with very respectable wine. The same is true for Niagara Falls area on the Canadian side. Stock up, most of these places do not ship out of state.

there. Playing in the carrier dome is tough. It's extremely loud and very hot. Syracuse is an improving team, although they did lose Ryan Nassib. If we sleep on them they will win that game. They beat WV couple times in a row, including the year that WV stomped us.

Another Syracuse suggestion

from an email comment:
Another "must see" is Lake Skineateles which is about 45 min from SYR. Quaint downtown shopping district.... restaurants... a pier that extends +/- 400 yards into the lake.... clear water.... fresh air! Enjoy the trip!

You lost me at "*Best Atmosphere: South Carolina".
The only thing 'electrifying' about that stadium is the Tasers that will be deployed on the drunk and disorderly swarming around that stink-hole.
