I'm sure they are ecstatic for him. Would we alienate Hunter Renfrow if in 25 years he has become a head coach at another school? I don't think so I would hope we'd all celebrate the continued success.

We boo this guy who's been the BEST coach ever at Clemson. His alma mater showing some loyalty and love even though he took a championship from them. He's going to be Bama bound bc eventually he will get tired of this ungrateful bunch of fans. I've never heard our fan base boo the team so many times in a season. It's a ### shame 6-1 and been getting treated like the team has tanked this whole season. Clemson is great bc of it's fans but if we start becoming snobs and unappreciative other schools will negatively recruit us. We fans need to get our heads out of our butts and continue showing the nation we are the best fans in the nation. Start by not booing our team!

No even after wins this season ppl were on here acting like the team lost because they didn't destroy the opposition. Also on national TV our fans are heard booing our team. It was embarrassing to me.

critical of him and the team when they lose or play close games with inferior competition? You really don't know anything about Bama's fanbase do you? Because if you did, then you're just saying that Dabo is dumber than hell, and I don't think your intent was to insult Dabo.

You are right Bama fans are uber critical and unappreciative unless they get a title. One of the appeals of Clemson for Dabo was that we're opposite of the Bama fans well until recently. Lose your appeal, eventually lose your coach. If he has to be harshly criticized over everything and essentially called a liar everytime he makes a Quarterback decision the fans don't like, why not do it in the place you are more familiar with and call home. SMH. As the saying went when I was younger us fans "need to check ourselves before we wreck ourselves". Smh

I would have been in Alabama too if I were in the position. 20 years from now, if Clemson is celebrating the 2016(17 depends on how you view it) Championship Win and if Derrick Deshaun Watson (just an example) is a coach at a Championship College football program and loses a game the night before the Clemson''s celebration, I would hope he would come back and be honored despite of his current loss. I bet most of you didn't know his first name is Derrick did you? More in love with the talent than the person.

Can't believe people are actually griping and moaning about this. The man graduated from Alabama and was on the 1992 championship team. These plans were made well in advance of Friday's night game. If any of us had won a championship at our alma mater and there was a reunion scheduled, we would do the same thing. I appreciate his loyalty to the people and places that have equipped him to be where he is today. He hasn't forgotten where he came from!
Get over your fear that he is going to leave for the Alabama job when it opens up. Quit criticizing his every move and let Dabo be who he is. Some of you live is a constant state of paranoia. If Dabo leaves, the Clemson football program will survive but Dabo has been transparent in everything he does. I don't foresee him leaving the dynasty he has built here, but if he does there is nothing that speaking negatively about him and this trip will change. In fact, it may prompt him to rethink his options more.

Hey Tigers, from a Bama fan's perspective, I think it was awesome that Dabo was able to return for Homecoming in Tuscaloosa to commemorate the 92 NC with his teammates. Dabo came from humble beginnings as a walk-on at Bama and left as a National Champion. I, for one, thank him for what he did for my team. I am also proud of what he has been able to accomplish for you guys too. Yes, I would have rather seen Bama win back in January but I am still proud that Dabo was able to lead your team to the NC. As someone else stated, this trip was planned far in advance so there was no way anyone could know that it would follow a Tiger loss. Tough break for the team and fans but I feel strongly that Clemson is still going to have a very good chance to make the CFP again this year.
Hope to see y'all in the CFP in December/January... Cheers!

Good for Dabo
Oct 15, 2017, 10:09 AM

If you have ever read Dabo's story of his life and can not be happy for him. He went back and visited with old team mates that when he graduated thought Dabo would be successful but not to level he has risen. These guys that Dabo looked up to playing in Alabama were wanting to be beside Dabo like the Rock Star he is. You overhear 1 player saying my friends do not believe I know Dabo. He deserves everything he has achieved and shame on those who come on here and try to take that away from him. He has never lied to me in 9 years. 9 years ago At a prowl and growl he said "Why not Clemson we have every thing and then some that these other schools have" I trust in Dabo he gets it and I am not sure some of you on here do. Friday night was just a mole hill for our mountain climbers, they have been to the top and want to get back and experience that view again. Go Tigers!!!!
