Newly committed coot: "I'm a day 1 starter"
I don't think I've ever heard that from a Clemson commit. I think we make it clear you come here to compete and have to earn your playing time.

It is the coots. Not like he has a bunch of competition on defense.

No one on this board cares. He already has an attitude. Will be difficult to coach.

immediate and significant playing time was a major reason why he chose UofSC. None of his other finalists even remotely offered that.

You can tell what they are selling there but hey Gamcocks have always been able to sell that since forever so Give Beamer credit. He’s in on a lot of higher rated guys and actually landing a few.
That DL kid out of Savannah would normally be CU and GA but sounds like SC is probably his #1 right now. Still don’t know what could be attractive about that S&@# hole in Columbia but Beamer is selling something over there.

I'm pretty sure Dylan Mulvaney was a gay one starter. How did that work out for Bud Light?

I mean, it's arrogant, but who on that D-line is holding him back? Speaking objectively...He's an electric athlete but so was Jordan Burch. He needs to put on 30 lbs of lean so he doesn't get swallowed up by big boy LT's. Otherwise, hope he can play LB. Doesn't help that he played AA high school ball either but we'll see.

Dont know what to make of him. Who knows what to believe these days, but Ohio State’s recruiting insiders felt we definitely had a good chance with him. They thought the coaches felt really good about Ohio State’s chances. Did NIL have something to do with it? Early playing time? Did SC out recruit Ohio State? I dont know. But OSU has whiffed on like 4 out of the last 5 recruits they thought they had a good chance at landing. No Me Gusta.

If one of ours was ever so brashly stoopit as to say

that, pretty sure Dabo would run that notion right out of him the first few days of camp.
Tommy Bowden apparently had a bad habit of promising running back recruits that they would get the first carry of the season. I seem to remember Jamie Harper fumbling that carry, and it costing us, big time. I don't believe he was the only one, either.
Any player who truly believes in his ability should not balk at being told he has to prove himself in practice to earn playing time. Dabo made it clear that would be the case at Clemson under him, right from the Interim Coach presser. Seems to have worked out pretty well for us.

I remember that and I think that fumble set him back a year or two, as he never seems to come anywhere near his potential until he played a few years in the NFL. Certainly did not reach it here.

You should be with that 3-star filled Roster. When it doesn't work out that way he will take his ball and go home. Silly coots think they are legit. Spot the ball and let the season of expose the Beamer begin!!!

I am not a psychiatrist. However, he was quoted as "loving the city of Columbia." I feel he needs real help!
