Dabo & Garrett Riley says WR Troy Stellato has the Strongest Hands

Troy Stellato needs to be a priority as a WR1. Dabo needs to stop forcing Beaux Collins to be the "WR1"
They need to utilize Stellato on more deep routes instead of drag routes. He seems to have the best hands, along with his speed & toughness.
It's been 3 years and Beaux Collins is the still the same old Beaux Collins. Bad costly mistakes every week. Ball bounces off his hand that lead to an interception & dropped balls in big moments.
Troy can win more 50/50 balls as a deep threat than Beaux.

I'm in favor of switching Stellato to take Beaux's spot and Beaux taking Stellato's spot. They're both outside boundary receivers.

Annnnnnhhh! Wrong on both counts. Having a little fun. Both those guy’s are ok. Troy needs to be a little bigger IMO. This is a boundary receiver with Velcro vice grips for hands. https://www.bengals.com/team/players-roster/tee-higgins/

I think Troy is comfortable at this weight, he doesn't want to lose his elite speed, his upper body is very developed, I'm sure people told him to put a little bit more on. He went through injuries so he probably wants to feel like himself again. He's lean, very muscular and probably 5% BF, probably the lowest body fat on the team

Watch is catch on the winning TD drive last week on 3rd down. That's the definition of vice grips for hands when Benjamin Morrison was trying to rip the ball out of #10's hands.

i do think stellato has the higher ceiling than collins, might be even better next year after playing in games after missing 2 years.

Beaux is an excuse guy. Watch him. He instantly gives up on a play the second he doesn't immediately separate or is interfered with. He will just throw his hands up and start looking for the ref instead of actually trying to catch the ball. There was a PI call where I believe he could have caught a pass for about 30 yards, but because he gave up we got a 15 yard PI. I can't stand that. Catch it regardless. Or try to at least. How demoralizing is it when you interfere and they still catch it?

He's soft. Gets pushed off his route so easily, rarely fights for and wins jump balls, can't block. He should be a number 3 receiver at best. The problem with this team is lack of playmakers and lack of competition at QB and receiver. We fix these and maintain this level of defense and we're back in it

YOUR HILAROUS! HE'S SOFT?? HE'S THE TOUGHEST WR WE HAVE WITH THE BEST HANDS. OPEN UP YOUR EYES, YOUR BLIND! DID YOU WATCH THE PLAY HE MADE ON 3RD DOWN ON THE WINNING TD DRIVE THAT HELPED US ULTIMATLY WIN THE GAME LAST WEEK. RUMOR HAS IT, GARRETT RILEY TOLD HIM THAT WAS THE BEST CATCH HES SEEN IN A VERY LONG TIME. NO ONE ON THAT TEAM WOULD OF CAUGHT THAT BALL AGAINST BENJAMIN MORRISON.

I've become a fan of #10 - he has the attack mindset and mean streak that we haven't seen in a Clemson receiver in a few years. Do whatever you can to target him as often as you can.

Been excited about Stellato since he signed. I hate to speak ill of players, but I can't stand when some Wars previously mentioned are too worried about making the first down gesture instead of being consistent and making plays every time. It's not just one that does it, but he seems to do it every. Single. Time. No matter the score.

Troy had his chance to become a starter vs Notre Dame

he could have made a huge play on the first drive
he didn't . Tee Higgins , JRoss, and WRU members would have all made that play
Troy is just another Beaux . no reason to change anything

You do realize Troy is already a starter right? He's been announced as starter every game since Syracuse. He's the other outside WR from Beaux
I agree he should've made the play on the first drive but he SLIPPED. The ball was under thrown, It's only 1 play, it's not going to define his career.

That was a horrible throw.
Stellato had the guy beat deep and was accelerating past him as Cade threw the ball short to too far to the outside.
Live I thought Stellato could have made a better attempt but as replays were shown I realized how far away from him the ball was thrown.
No previous Clemson WR catches that pass.

Stellato's injury history made the coaches understandably hesitant about

building any type of game plan around him. The longer he goes now WITHOUT getting injured, and showing that his athleticism is still there after all the injuries, the more confidence they will develop in him, and the more he will figure into our plans.

How did they measure strongest hands?

Grip Crushers?
Handshake?
Massages?
Or is this belief merely based on Dabo's opinion, much like him telling us these WRs are the fastest he's had?
