Bigger blame for loss: DJ or Mukuba?

Nope. Receivers were open. DJ wouldn’t throw it. Not the first game. Seeing it live shows it worse. TV doesn’t show how open these kids are. DJ is scared. Period.

DJ is always scared, and looks it
Best thing that can happen is Dabo naming Cade the starter going forward so DJ transfers. It's truly the smartest way ahead for all parties.

I've been saying this all year. He only has decent games against teams in soft zone or backed off coverage

You’re wrong all dj, he sucked all day. If you keep putting defense on field and are sucking it up eventually D gets tired and frustrated

It’s all on Dabo for the position that we’re in right now.
Portal Nepotism(hires and players) Playcalling Development EVERYTHING is on him and he needs to fix it……..they are very easy fixes if he’s willing to do it.

He had the ball in his hands every play. USCe was daring us to pass. It doesn't get any worse 8/29 for 99 yards. 3 yards per attempt.

The bulk was on a 59 yard pass play. So 7 for 28 for 40 yards if you take that one away.

DJ was not good, but our WRs were bad today and most of the year. EJ Williams was terrible. I saw several passes dropped. However, Mukaba let SCar's players get behind him multiple times for massive chunk plays.
Mukuba deserves more blame IMO.
Dabo is to blame! Clemson is known as the place great recruits go to become mediocre.

Lol so 2 or 3 bad plays was worse than an entire games worth of bad plays. Nah dude DJ was the biggest issue again today. He can't beat man coverage he's terrified of throwing a guy open,he has to see them open before he throws it. He's not accurate enough to hit a guy on the break.

We scored on three of 13 possessions. Defense added nine points directly to that total.
We allowed points on five possessions.
Don't dare put this on the defense.

No one player or coach. A group effort. DJ played bad. The oline got whipped at times. Wide outs dropped passes. Coaching staff tried to be cute. After the safety we tried to get cute on the kick return. No need for that. If we score there I believe South Carolina quits. But we fumble they score 16-14. Our punter has potential but was poor. Williams fumbled a punt that would put us on the 50 with a chance to win. Team effort

DJ is a different story but instead of blaming Macuba, you look at the DC and ask why wasn't another CB playing because a safety on a WR is a missmatch all day long. It was obvious.

DJ shouldn't be blamed for the loss only coach the started him and coach that didn't start Cade 2nd half. If we started Hunter Johnson this season with Cade in relieve be unbeaten well above the curve. ND game should have been Streeter's last.

Didn't both fumbles were worse than the interception. One cost 7 points. The other cost the end of the game. That would indicate that DJ's interception was bad but SC did not get points on it.
You might blame the offense that scored 30 freaking points that is enough to win most games. Or perhaps you should be mad at the defense that allowed South Carolina to score 31 points. My belief is that the SC offense found its mojo and is the real deal.

How many teams had their defense score 9 points today?
Have you EVER heard of a team whose defense got more points than their QB had completions?
8 of 29 for less than a hundred yards. But Streeter was sooooooo impressed with DJ’S running. 51yds rushing impressed you huh Brandon? The guy before him put up double that against Ohio State, and he got 260 more through the air while doing it.

You don’t want to get beat deep, then play cover 2. Really believe Rattler and USC WR’s played a great game. Hard to defend. Schematically I’d rather have seen us mix a little more cover 2 in to keep them honest. Completely unfair to hang that on mukuba. He’s got an entire field to cover when he’s back there alone.
No excuse for DJ and the WR. Just plain BAD
