Four-star 2024 Chandler, Arizona point guard
Del Jones (6-2 180) committed to Clemson on Monday.
Jones is rated as a 4-star prospect and the No. 66 player in the nation -- the No. 14 point guard -- by ESPN. 247Sports profiled his game: "The first two things that stand out about Jones’ are his speed and toughness. He’s a legitimate combo-guard, who is equally capable of playing on or off the ball. He has both pace and creativity when making plays for himself and others, but can be inefficient with his decision-making at times. He has clean shooting mechanics from behind the arc and good natural touch, and yet converted just 22% of his attempts in EYBL play, per Synergy Sports. This discrepancy was rooted, in large part, to his shot selection, as he ranked in a much more favorable 45th percentile on catch and shoot attempts. Jones is probably at his best when he embraces being a true point guard and picks his spots a bit more judiciously, while still showing that same willingness to be aggressive in big moments. Physically, he has decent positional size for a lead guard, and while he is very fast, he plays primarily under the rim." His hometown is Arlington, Virginia. He joins four-star power forward Dallas Thomas (Little Rock) and three-star combo guard Ace Buckner (La Point, Ind.) in the Clemson class. Check out Jones' announcement and more analysis below:
