Mickey Plyler on Gore: "When you evaluate Gore, some think he will be a defensive linemen and others think he may move to offensive tackle. The thing that really sticks out on his video is his quickness. He really moves well for a guy over 6-5. I am glad he is here for the spring. Gore may surprise his coaches with his athleticism."

Mickey Plyler on McNeal: "I saw him as a sophomore and junior and really thought he had a lot of poise to be so young. He has played in a bunch of big football games in the playoffs in the past three years. His knee injury hurt his progress this year but he is a good athlete and when healthy had hurt defenses with his feet too."

Cole Stoudt QB 6-3 185 Dublin, OH (Dublin Coffman HS)

Efficient passer who threw for school record 4,393 yards and 52 touchdowns against just 11 interceptions in his career at Dublin Coffman High School in Dublin, OH...broke career passing yardage and touchdown records that had been held at the school by former Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn, who is now with the Denver Broncos...Cole had outstanding senior year when he completed 163-250 for 2159 yards and 22 touchdowns against just six interceptions...had consecutive games at midseason when he threw for at least 300 yards...completed 20-27 for 370 yards and three touchdowns in win over Worthington Kilbourne on October 22, then was 21-32 for 320 yards and touchdowns in win over Upper Arlington...he broke Quinn's school yardage record in that game...ranked as 21st best quarterback in nation by Rivals.com and 23rd best by 24/7sports.com...rated as 28th best quarterback in the nation by Scout.com...had strong junior year, he was 91-144 for 1151 yards with 16 touchdowns and just one interception until he broke his leg in seventh game of the season...as a sophomore he was 91-163 for 1,083 yards and 14 touchdowns...son of Cliff Stoudt, who played in the NFL between 1980 and 1989...played with Pittsburgh, St. Louis/Phoenix and Miami Dolphins...starter for the Steelers in 1983, he had a 9-6 record as the starter and threw for 2553 yards and rushed for 479....entered Clemson in January 2011 and will compete in Spring practice...Cole played for Mark Crabtree at Dublin Coffman High in Ohio.

I would think he would be a very intelligent quarterback considering he grew up with a former NFL quarterback as a father."

Active linebacker who is son of former NFL Pro Bowl tight end Wesley Walls...ranked as 44th best ILB in nation by ESPN.com...helped Charlotte Latin HS to a 9-3 record as a senior...had season best 17 tackles, including three tackles for loss in a win over Providence Day...had outstanding junior year as well when he had 115 tackles, seven sacks, two blocked punts and an interception on state championship team...had a sack, an interception and a blocked punt in the state championship game...dad played 14 seasons in the NFL for the San Francisco 49ers, the New Orleans Saints, the Carolina Panthers and the Green Bay Packers...Wesley had 450 career catches for 5291 yards and 54 touchdowns and made the Pro Bowl five times...Wesley played one game in Death Valley for New Orleans against the Panthers in 1995, the year the Panthers played their home games at Clemson...Colton played for Larry McNulty at Charlotte Latin School in Charlotte, NC....recruited by Danny Pearman...born Feb. 9, 1992.

Mickey Plyler on Norton: "I saw Norton the last two years and really like his toughness. I think Dalton Freeman was taller and a little more developed at this stage, but there are some similarities. I think he may be the future at center."

First visited Clemson as a soccer recruit in Spring of 2010...made 14-20 field goals as a senior at Chattahoochee High School in Georgia in 2010...also averaged 40 yards per punt and 80 percent of his kickoffs went for touchbacks (kicked off from the 40 per high school rules)...kicked a 50-yard field goal in the State Championship game and a 51-yarder in the second...made a 27-yard field goal as time expired to give his team a victory in the semifinals...ranked among the top kickers in the nation, he is seventh best by Rivals.com, eighth best by Scout.com and 12th best by ESPN.com...comes to Clemson from the same high school as former Tiger two-sport athlete Mark Buchholz, who set the school record for consecutive extra points with 88 in 2007 and 2008...it is also the alma mater of former Clemson quarterback Charlie Whitehurst...played for Terry Crowder at Chattahoochee High School....recruited by Jeff Scott...born July 23, 1993, he is the youngest member of the Clemson 2011 signing class.

A five-star player from Florida, who was named the National High School Football Player of the Year by Sporting News...played in Under Armour All-American Game in Florida after his senior year, he was the leading rusher in that game with 56 yards in 13 attempts...first-team Parade All-American who was a second-team USA Today All-American as well...ranked as 25th best overall player in nation by Rivals.com, 32nd best player by SuperPrep, 41st best by Tom Lemming, 60th best by Scout.com and 72nd best by ESPN.com and 24/7sports...rated as third best running back in the nation by 24/7sports.com...rated fifth best running back by Rivals.com, sixth best back by ESPN.com and seventh best by Scout.com...had 7,329 rushing yards and 110 touchdowns in his high school career...his touchdown total set a state of Florida high school record...he had 841 career attempts, so he averaged 8.7 yards a rush for his career...most valuable offensive player of his high school team four consecutive years...had at least 1,900 yards rushing in each of his last three years...led his high school to a 41-9 record for his career...as a senior had 178 carries for 1933 yards and 36 touchdowns on a team that finished 12-1...only played half the game in six of the 13 games due to the advantage his team had at halftime...had sensational junior year as well when he helped his high school team to an 11-2 season...had 216 carries for 2,153 yards and 30 touchdowns...that is a 9.97 rushing average...had at least one touchdown in every game and at least three in seven of the 13 games as a junior...had a 92-yard run vs. Mariner High School and a 95-yard kickoff return vs. North Port....outstanding track athlete who won state championship in the 200 and finished second in the 100 as a sophomore...as a junior, won the 100 meters and finished second in the 200... team won state championship in track last year as well...comes to Clemson from Charlotte County High School where he played for Binky Waldrop...recruited by Brad Scott...born Oct. 16, 1991.

Mickey Plyler on Bellamy: "You only have to watch Bellamy's video once to know he is a player but it is so fun to sit back and watch his runs over and over again. When C.J. Spiller left here I told my buddies to get a good look because we wouldn't see speed like thay again anytime soon. I was wrong. He might not have the wiggle Spiller had but he does have that explosive quickness and speed."

Clemson has had some great ones but I don't know of any that had more ability coming into college. Watkins reminds me of what the Miami Hurricanes have had at wide receiver for the last 20 years."

He is a natural leader that will be a great student-athlete at Clemson."

Another outstanding defensive lineman from nearly Daniel High who will come to Clemson...follows in the footsteps of 2010 first-team All-ACC defensive tackle Jarvis Jenkins, Williams wore the same #99 jersey that Jenkins wore at Daniel and at Clemson...Williams finished his senior year with 106 total tackles, 26 of which were tackles for loss...also had seven tackles, 22 quarterback pressures and three passes broken up...also had an interception and three fumble recoveries for four takeaways...helped his Daniel team to the state playoffs, he had seven tackles, two fumble recoveries and a blocked extra point against South Pointe in his final high school game...helped Daniel to 13-1 record as a starter in 2008 and 2009....moved into the starting lineup halfway through his freshman year (2007)...ranked as 17th best player in South Carolina by SuperPrep...rated as 37th best defensive tackle in the nation by ESPN.com...Area Defensive player of the Year by the Seneca Journal...also a fine track athlete, he finished third in the state in the shot as a junior...plans to compete for state title again this spring...played football for Randy Robinson at Daniel High in Clemson...comes to Clemson from same school that the aforementioned Jenkins and wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins to Clemson....recruited by Brad Scott...born Dec. 29, 1992.

Mickey Plyler on Williams: "I saw DeShawn a bunch over the last three years. He has grown a couple of inches, but is still not a tall tackle. He will have to be a leverage guy. He is athletic enough to make plays and pursues the football well. If he comes into camp in great shape, DeShawn will get a long look for playing time this year."

Ranked as 14th best player in South Carolina by Rivals.com...rated as 27th best player in South Carolina by SuperPrep...played in the North-South High School All-Star game in Myrtle Beach...had outstanding performance in that contest as he had five tackles, two of which were sacks, caused a fumble and recorded a fumble...named all-region for the region 2-4A level and also an all-county selection for Greenville County...finished the year with 78 tackles, 45 assists, 22 tackles for loss, including nine sacks, had three caused fumbles, one recovered fumble and four passes broken up...also an outstanding athlete in track, he joined that team in the spring of 2010... the Greenville County Champion in the Shot Put, runner-up in the discus and named the Greenville County Field Athlete of the Year....also the region champion in both the shot and discus and was a 3A state qualifier in the shot put... Mickey Plyler on Dodd: "This is the best of the future interior defensive linemen in terms of athleticism. He ran very well at some summer events and his speed caught coaches' eyes. Dodd is still very raw, but he starts out with a skill set that allows him to have a higher ceiling."
