Highlights from the top performances from Clemson’s commits this week:

Trevor Lawrence – 5-star Cartersville (GA) QB

Another week, another ultra-efficient performance from the 6-foot-6 prospect, hitting 10-of-13 passes for 272 yards and four scores in a 48-21 playoff win over Pickens (Ga.). He’s led Cartersville to 41-straight wins, throwing 40 touchdowns passes to one interception this season with over 3,000 passing yards (3,142).

Derion Kendrick – 4-star South Pointe (SC) WR; B.T. Potter – 3-star kicker

South Pointe’s Clemson commits rolled on in the playoffs with 42 unanswered points in a 45-3 win over visiting Belton-Honea Path. Kendrick, a Clemson receiver commit, hit 12-of-18 throws for 273 yards and two scores, and he added eight rushes for 125 yards with two more touchdowns. Potter knocked through a field goal, but he also pinned BHP to its 20 or inside the 20 on nine of 10 possessions.

“Sometimes I think he needs to be our defensive MVP,” South Pointe coach Strait Herron told the Rock Hill Herald on Potter. “When you have a guy that can make them start on the 20 every single time, he’s a huge weapon, and boy, we’re gonna miss him. We’re gonna miss him bad.”

Kendrick has thrown for 24 touchdowns to five interceptions, completing 70.4 percent of his passes for 2,227 yards and rushing for 860 yards and 12 more scores.

Kyler McMichael – 4-star Greater Atlanta Christian CB

McMichael, a Clemson defensive back commit, rushed for three touchdowns in a fourth game this season to roll on in the playoffs, 49-0, over Jackson County (Ga.). McMichael topped the 1,000-yard mark in 11 games with scores of 73, 5 and 14 yards to bring his season total to 23 rushing TDs.

Joseph Charleston – 2019 4-star Milton (GA) S

Charleston picked off a screen pass and took it 23 yards for the score in a 44-15 win over Collins Hill to move on in the playoffs. He got in on a tackle for loss as well.

Darnell Jefferies – 3-star Newton (GA) DT

A Jefferies touchdown catch with 15 seconds left forced overtime, but his Newton Rams fell in overtime, 42-35, in a playoff game versus Parkview (Ga.). Jefferies went into the game with 58 tackles, 20 of those for loss.

Justin Mascoll – 4-star South Gwinnett (GA) DE

Mascoll’s senior campaign came to a close as well in a 28-0 defeat to Brookwood (Ga.). Mascoll went into the game with 55 tackles (32 solo) and seven sacks, and added a couple stops and a QB hurry in the finale effort.

Brannon Spector – 2019 3-star Calhoun (GA) athlete

Spector hauled in a 30-yard TD catch to help put away Pace Academy (Ga.) going into the fourth quarter in a 27-3 playoffs win.
