WATCH: Swinney, Saban discuss CFB rubber match

by - Assoc. Editor -

Video Description: Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney and Alabama head coach Nick Saban shared their initial thoughts on the third-straight matchup between the Tigers and Crimson Tide in the College Football Playoff. Swinney joked Thursday that he couldn't seem to shake his alma mater, which brought a rare smile to Saban's face.

“Obviously, I can't seem to get away from these guys, as hard as I try (smiling),” Swinney said. “Man, it's not an easy task to play Alabama. I don't care where you put them, they've had the best team for a long time. We know it's been two great games. I don't have any doubt this one will be another great matchup. But got a lot of respect for what they do there, obviously Coach Saban, the consistency they've had.

“But we look forward to it. It's going to be a great opportunity to prepare. Should be a great game.”
