Seth Beer met with local media Tuesday after his MLB first-round selection Monday night by the Houston Astros.
Beer reflected on his time as a Tiger, in addition to talking about the next stage in his career. "This is a brotherhood for life," Beer said of Clemson. "The Clemson fanbase has been so supportive of me being drafted." Beer was drafted as an outfielder, but Astros assistant GM Mike Elias told Houston media that the three-time All-American could play first base as well. The Astros are slotted $2,399,400 by MLB for Beer's contract. He has until a July 15 deadline to be signed. Watch Beer's full interview below:
