WATCH: Dave Doeren reacts to Clemson's 55-10 rout of NC State

by - Assoc. Editor -

North Carolina State head coach Dave Doeren spoke to the media following his team's 55-10 homecoming loss to No. 5 Clemson on Saturday night.

Doeren was asked by a reporter about Clemson scoring (run up the middle) with 11 secs left in the game.

"Well, first of all, we can’t muff the punt," he said. "I thought that was a really poor decision. I’m not sure what Tabari (Hines) was thinking on that play. I don’t really have a lot to say about it. It’s their third or fourth (string players) in the game. You’ve got to try to stop them. Obviously, it’s something as a coach that you don’t like to see happen, but I’ve done the same thing in the past. You put your backups in and you let them play football. It is what it is."
