Gabe Devoe named to Midwest All-Tournament team |
Clemson senior guard
Gabe DeVoe was named to the 2018 Midwest Region All-Tournament team as selected by the United States Basketball Writers Association on Sunday.
Devoe had a memorable final game as a Tiger as he poured in a career-high 31 points on 10-for-17 shooting in the 80-76 loss to No. 1 seed Kansas. The 31 points was a Clemson record for most points in an NCAA Tournament game. The previous high was 26 points from Dale David against LaSalle in 1990. In the second round NCAA game against Auburn, he had led the team with 22 points and was 6-for-9 from the field. He also scored 22 points in the first round NCAA matchup against the New Mexico State Aggies. Devoe became the first Clemson player to score 20+ points in three consecutive NCAA Tournament games. Congratulations to Devoe on having a tremendous senior season for the Tigers.
